Wow, I only recognize a handful of names on that list. Guess that means I'm getting old....

Congrats to all!

Yeah, I'm pretty much in the same boat there. How about this though?!

Tenors section leader: Chris Carter

About time he quits broadcasting jobs!

I don't even know if the number of names I recognize could be considered a handful!

one thing to notice is that there is no tenor sax section leader... it's just the sax section leader
and the other thing to notice is that there is no snare section leader - sources (other people in the band) tell me that this is because there are no returning snares

So much for the retention rate dr. Hayward was hoping for, at least in the snare section

she's been doing the saxes differently every year for the last like...5 years. i'm glad she's kept the 2 different sax leadership spots though because most times the tenors and the altos are on completely opposite ends of the field...

and i noticed the snare thing, too. I thought at least a few were returning, but I guess that may not be the case....very peculiar...

I wouldn't have brought up the sax part if I wasn't told about it by several tenors in the first place. I've also heard that there may be a couple snares returning...but who knows...I sure as hell don't seeing as how I've heard opposite things from different people :-D
