He is a solid athlete. I can see him walking on in football (once his academics are squared away) and maybe earning a scholarship in the future. I dont really see hoops in his future, Coach Orr has plenty of bodies already. BG only has club track, but varsity track doesnt offer much anyway as far as money is concerned.
I look for Joplins name to surface in 2010/2011

Varsity track, like varsity football, offers no money unless BG is skirting the rules. Professional track on the other hand offers big money and Joplin has about as much chance to compete professionally ther as he does in football. Which is to say about none.reyray82 wrote:He is a solid athlete. I can see him walking on in football (once his academics are squared away) and maybe earning a scholarship in the future. Interestingly, he jumped 6'10" last year which would win state most years but was only the third best jumper in the area and not even close to the other two. The Napolean kid who went to Auburn was the best and Kynard from Rogers, who lost head to head wtih the NApolean kid a couple times I think, had the highest jump, although it came indoors. Pretty good LJer too but some kid from Delta is out near 24- and wins all the sprints, too. ?Yikes!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
