Grant- I could have kicked Anton Currie's azz in any phase of the game (to paraphrase Jelly Bean Joe Bryant's response to Steve Mix starting ahead of him). Why would anyone want Antone Currie to try to influence a game. Just bet against the team he's on. A cautionary tale for gamblers though-your money is in the hands of sleazy grocers and stupid 20 year old kids. Or raggedyass horses from New Mexico that are way better than you thought.

Much as I enjoy poking fun at the school up north, this scares the hell out of me because it could happen anywhere. All it takes is one sleazy person and one impressionable college athlete. Hell, I've felt the MAC was a possible target for gamblers for years because of the midweek football games. There are a lot of dates in November when there is hardly anything else to bet on, so I bet a lot of gamblers look toward the football games that are on the ESPN networks. Regardless, the whole thing scares me to death.

Gambler quoted in the Blade today says it is pretty common-just very hard to ID and then prove.threestooges wrote:Much as I enjoy poking fun at the school up north, this scares the hell out of me because it could happen anywhere. So what you're saying is UT-based delinquents are much stupider than delinquents from other universities.h2oville rocket wrote:Gambler quoted in the Blade today says it is pretty common-just very hard to ID and then prove.threestooges wrote:Much as I enjoy poking fun at the school up north, this scares the hell out of me because it could happen anywhere. Actually considered adding that line to my post. Unbelievable, but I'm glad they got caught. That stupidity would rank up there with somebody trying to steal drugs by invading homes armed with paintball guns.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:So what you're saying is UT-based delinquents are much stupider than delinquents from other universities.h2oville rocket wrote:Gambler quoted in the Blade today says it is pretty common-just very hard to ID and then prove.threestooges wrote:Much as I enjoy poking fun at the school up north, this scares the hell out of me because it could happen anywhere.
