Save BG Hockey Community Committee

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

Our community committee (that was formed shortly after the news broke about cutting the program) wrote a letter in support of the "official" university committees. That letter was sent to everyone at the university who will have an impact on the future of the program. Here is our letter:

http://www.sent-trib.com/index.php?opti ... Itemid=102
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."
~~USCHO Poster
"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Very impressive list of people on your committee. Let's hope that the university realizes through this just how committed the community and hockey/arena supporters are to saving the building and the program.

Sure would be nice to add Dan Bylsma to that list.

Nicer, if his references included Head Coach of Pittsburgh Penguins and 2009 Stanley Cup Champions.

2009 Stanley Cup champs? Wow...he's going to coach Pittsburgh and Detroit?

I hope Dan has three more wins left in his season. Actually scratch that, I can't take another Game 7.

If his players keep going knee-to-knee, he'll be just fine.

C'mon Flip...Detroit hasn't been real good since terry sawchuk made beauty glove saves.
The red Wings get a free ride to the conference finals because of the weaker west conference which includes famous hockey enclaves such as Phoenix and SoCal. Play a whole season in the ole' Patrick division and see how much spring you have in your shifts come playoffs.

Besides we could use a Cup appearance at the ice arena...fundraiser???

Would now be appropriate time to ask Dan for a CUP presentation at the Ice Arena? Heck, its on the way back home from Pittsburgh too.

And once again, Flip he coached only the Pens!
