i wont be caught off gaurd..I know nobody likes Ohio State and I dont care. I prefer it that way, but it is not because of the fans.. Everybody thinks their team is better than they may be. You guys think BG is better than they are. So what?
Everyone tells opposing fans that their team sucks.
So what if OSU had help getting into the national title game against LSU. There were like 4 other 1 loss teams who did not have better records than Ohio state. So why do you single OSU out and say they backed their way in? LSU lost after OSU did and they still got in..why didn't they back their way in. Anyone who played in that game backed their way in. Nobody played their way into it. It was an abnormal year and to say anyone backed into it is a weak, ridiculous point to make. That is taking the easy thing to cry about instead of using logical debate.
Also, ask those people why they are annoyed with OSU. It is not the fans...it is the continued success. OSU is the only team who doesn't seem to disappear for a decade like Miami, USC, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Florida, Florida State etc.
All of those teams are irrelevant or have become irrelevant during my 27 year lifetime. OSU has always been in the mix of things only being down for a year or two at most.
Don't tell me to take my blinders off if you are not going to take your hate blinders off.
So what if OSU fans meet in groups to watch games all over the country. That is what makes them great and attractive to recruits, passionate fans.
If being passionate and cheering hard for our team is what makes us annoying then so be it.
Maybe everyone else should be a little more passionate.
Your reasoning and arguments are off base.
I think YOU will be suprised if you knew the real reasons why people dislike OSU.
You offer no proof that it is the fans. You use the word "think" and the last time I checked THINK is not a good word to describe something as being concrete. The word THINK means you are stating your own opinion.

Thanks
I have been going to OSU games since I was 5 (dad has season tix). I only went to BG for undergrad. I have absolutley no emotional ties to BG. I have not been back since graduation (with the exception of driving by on 75, with my middle finger in the air when I see the stadium, on my way to Frankenmuth, MI ). I don't feel like nor do I consider myself a falcon. It's easy. I am a buckeye.
nothing to think about.

trust me, i dont have any problems with tressel or the guys on the team, people have problems with the fans! thats a fact. in charlotte, people cant stand osu fans, in nyc where my brother works, he works with 2 osu grads and understands our pain, in san diego where my buddy from school lives, he understands. people dont mind actually osu, just the dumbass fans and how ignorant they are and how they feel they should be in the championship every year like its their god given right. when the big 10 starts to have a conference championship game, then mayble ill respect them a lil more

yes OSU fans all believe it is their god given right to play in the national title game every year
Lets over exaggerate some more shall we?
Somehow I think those are YOUR words, not theirs.
Even so, maybe 1% of the ridiculous fans believe this but I guess exaggeration and stereotyping is the game you want to play.
Oh well, you are all fu**ing drama queens.
Perhaps it is people like you who annoy OSU fans so they do what they can to get on your nerves. Of course that couldn't be it because certainly nobody would do anything to egg other people on
Perhaps if you dumb asses would leave them alone and quit taking any chance you get to put OSU down they wouldn't feel like they have to defend. It is just like you defend BG whenever I or UT fans put you down. That is what you do when someone attacks something that you have a passion for. But somehow it is only not OK when it is OSU fans.

My my... someone's getting a bit testy. Look, I know it's hard to accept that the rest of the world not only doesn't love the Buckeyes, but in some pockets, they actually think pretty poorly of them, largely in part due to the actions of at least the louder (read: more vocal, not higher decibel-ed) portions of their fan base. It's not an opinion, it's an established fact. I know you like to think Tressel's sh*t doesn't stink, and that we're all just jealous. We can't really stop you if you want to keep on deluding yourself. But know this, the sooner you accept the truth, the better your life will be. Root for your team. Just lose the "bow down before us for we are the mighty Buckeyes and you are all just jealous" attitude.tekekini wrote:moneymaker02 wrote:trust me, i dont have any problems with tressel or the guys on the team, people have problems with the fans! thats a fact. in charlotte, people cant stand osu fans, in nyc where my brother works, he works with 2 osu grads and understands our pain, in san diego where my buddy from school lives, he understands. people dont mind actually osu, just the dumbass fans and how ignorant they are and how they feel they should be in the championship every year like its their god given right. when the big 10 starts to have a conference championship game, then mayble ill respect them a lil more

And for the record, most other schools and their fans that I have come in contact with love their team just as much as you love the Buckeyes, but they manage to do it while still respecting their opponents as good teams too. THAT'S the point a lot of Buckeye fans seem to miss, not only in my experience, but in that of many other folks I know and have talked to as well.

OK, Tikidoll, another English lesson. Exaggeration is one of those words that stands alone. When one exaggerates he is already over doing it. In the same way something can't be very unique one can't really overexaggerate. You can return to bashing your old school and defending your new one now.

testy? hardly.. If you havent figured it out by now...i love being hated...i even said in my post that I prefer it that way. aparrently you can't read but thats ok.
you fail to realize that every team has those loud mouth few but you want to single outohio state fans. again that is fine. live in your own world and keep believing what you want to believe. Its not going to make me go away and it will only make me come back that much harder when bad things happen to BG and OSU keeps winning.
I dont think OSU deserves to be in the title game every year but I will tell you they belong there when they make it there. You can throw all hundreds of thousands of OSU fans under the loudmouth category but quit bitching when I throw you under the jealous small school, big school wannabe category.
If people hate OSU and their so called loud mouth fans it is because they don't have anything to be loud mouthed about themselves.
It must suck to live poor pathetic lives that all you have to do with your days is worry about what OSU fans say.
You have two options:
Grow up and get over it.
Or go cry to someone else about it.
I am an OSU fan and have travelled a lot to see the team play and I have never experienced any resentment or hate from opposing fans. Not even in Michigan.

It is also one of those words that is commonly misused and is just accepted that way so why don't you just shut up and learn how to properly quote if you are going to use this message board

Ha, ok Mr. Experience. Trust me, the sentiment is out there.
And 99% of the time, I am "over it." I accepted long ago that OSU's fans for some reason have a higher douchebag to normal fan ratio than a lot of other schools' fans that I've come into contact with. It's a fact of life around here. And why I'm looking forward to getting out of this state so I can be in a place where there's a much lower concentration of them.
Of course you probably noticed that I said 99% of the time I'm over it. The other 1% of the time is spent having fun cutting OSU down a few pegs and watching fans like you get your panties in a twist.

Tek,
So you attended BG, and when you drive by the Doyt, you flip it off? I have several friends who attended BG that love OSU. But they don't flip off the Doyt!. Honestly, do you really do this? Did someone at BG hurt your feelings or something? Did you get beat up by a BG football player or something? Did one of them steal your girlfriend? Just trying to find out where this hatred comes from?

Congrats, Teke- you're as smart as the U.S. military. They compounded the lunacy by using "extremely" in front of "over-exaggerated" so maybe you're smarter.
MajorFalcon- its pretty tough to take your fellow Falcon to task on these things when the military can't speak English. Help!
US denies 147 civilians killed in Afghan violence
KABUL – The U.S. military said Friday reports that as many as 147 civilians died in fighting involving American forces and the Taliban were "extremely over-exaggerated" and investigators were still analyzing the data collected at the site.

the ignore button live and well
Made it all the way to the end with the ignore button in use most of the time.
Just had to add--we were in Chicago a month ago. I was making a purchase and the clerk commented on my license being from Ohio. She then said, "O-H". And waited.
I told her that was not an Ohio thing only an Ohio State University thing. We at other schools don't do that. So I told her, if the license said Columbus, Ohio, the O-H thing would go better.
I know a teacher with a degree from BGSU that is a disgrace to the University. With all the University re-alignment going on- couldn't we get a clause that could rescind diplomas from one school and transfer them to another like tiki bikini and the teacher in question? If you turn your back, or act like an AZZhole, you should not be allowed to be a BGSU grad any longer. We'll just make them all tOSU grads. THey'd fit right in.

ROLL ALONG!
New APR scores just came out for football and I see Ohio State's was 968, only eight points away from being tops in the Big Ten. Kudos to Tressel and his coaching staff for turning this black eye on the university around, their APR number and team GPA has gone up every year. After the embarassing academic performance in the not to distant past with Reggie Germany and his Blutarsky esque 0.0 GPA, it's refreshing to see tangible evidence that they are emphasizing the classroom and also recruiting kids who were good students in high school.
