Kent State beat Miami today, 6-1. AND, not only did Ohio score 5 times in the 9th for a 12-11 win over Buffalo, but OU is winning the second game 17-2 in the 7th. If that score holds -- and why wouldn't it? -- I believe the East Division standings will look like this at the end of Friday's play...
BGSU 17-8 (.680)
Ohio 18-9 (.667)
Kent State 16-9 (.640)
Miami 15-11 (.577)
If I have this right, BGSU will NEED to defeat Akron on Saturday to win the title. A loss would drop the Falcons below Ohio, who will complete the regular season with tonight's DH.
Of course, if Crash Davis could get us a rainout, BGSU would win the East and the regular-season title.
