Either way you want to go...just thought we needed a new joke since our Michigan joke was officially dead...let's go with the Cocks...closer in vicinity, more possible than the condoms.

The Michigan joke came from actual tales that we had Michigan on the schedule, not from pointing a finger at a map.

Which leads to the next question:

Are we still playing Maryland in 2010?

I believe so, but don't quote me on that. Coach Clawson had a laundry list of "big" games on the near-future schedule when he spoke in Indy a couple weeks ago, I just don't remember exactly what they are now.

I was pissed i could not attend that function. I wanted to bid on an autograhed mini helmet by Coach Clawson.

Those things brought in some cash, if I recall correctly. A lot of the best stuff there gets out of my price range in a hurry, but it's all for a good cause.

The USC choice is quite appropriate to replace the running U of M joke.

We were supposed to play USC (South Carolina), but that was the Saturday after 9/11. Lou Holtz coaching against one of his protege's in UM. Woulda been interesting.

We were also scheduled to play against USC (Southern Cal) in the mid-80s. There was an outcry against scheduling against a nobody knows in LA team from the Midwest and it was cancelled by USC.

This is what I had for the next three years from updates, etc. We were originally scheduled to play at Western Kentucky next year on September 25 which is the same day we're now playing Michigan. My best guess is that we're going to move the WKU game to another season, possibly even 2011 for two reasons. One, we still had an open date to the best of my knowledge, and two, that is the year we were supposed to host Boise State, but we're doing that this year after the Miami, Toledo, BG group effort for the Kentucky (Miami), Colorado (Toledo) and Boise State (BG) game accommodations.

2010
Sept. 11 @ Maryland
Sept. 18 MARSHALL
Sept. 25 @ Michigan
Sept. 25 @ Western Kentucky (probably the game to go from next season)
Nov. 13 @ Troy

2011
Sept. 3 @ Idaho
Sept. 10 MARYLAND
Sept. 17 BOISE STATE (likely gone since this return game is being played in 2009)
TBA @ TBA (could be the Western Kentucky road game)

2012
Aug. 30 @ Boise State
Sept. 8 IDAHO
Sept. 22 @ Virginia Tech
TBA TBA (probably an FCS team)
GO BG!!!

Your right. I think BG would have beat USC. Instead they beat Northwestern, the game they added, with Cole running in the winning two point conversion.
