Coach Dave Clawson phone call/Marketing Blitz......
Yeah, I got one two a few weeks ago and I've never bought season tickets for football only women's basketball. They must really be putting out all the stops to try and get people ramped up for football again if their going after fans who have never bought FB season tix before. Not too long after that pre-recorded message from Clawson I got a phone call from an actual person at the ticket office and/or marketing telling me about all the ticket packages and whether I'd like to buy some for this season. I wonder how many new season ticket holders will come about because of this marketing blitz?

There is always the option of buying season tickets and donating the unused tickets to a local charity. I happen to like that option. It is in the name of supporting Falcon Football. While the schedule may not be perfect, its not a big deal to eat 30 bucks and miss a couple of games that you can't make. . . in my opinion at least. Hopefully the phone calls will do more than just make us happy that the athletic department is trying. Hopefully some will decide to commit to buying season tickets.
With the slate of home games this year, its probably not going to get much better than this! Go BG!

Which tickets did you buy, just out of curiosity? I hope you know that they have the option (if you go to the box office) of "student guest" tickets. Meaning that you, as a student, can buy tickets for your guests which are considerably cheaper than the regular tickets. I bought one for my fiancee for the Buffalo game, and it was less than $10. Not that I am opposed to giving BG athletics money, but... when one is a poor college student, every couple of dollars we don't have to spend helps.footballguy51 wrote:I got an automated phone call, and I'm a student. The only thing I can figure is that I bought a ticket to the game a couple times for my fiance, but that's it. Why would I buy season tickets when I get in for free?

I got a second call from some chick from marketing(I think the same one as last time) asking me about selecting a ticket package for this upcoming season. All I can say is damn, they sure are putting out all the stops this year. We'll see if it works. Not sure I have the dough for FB season tix as I usually save for women's basketball but this years schedule looks awfully nice.
