U of Findlay to convert Ice Arena to rec center

Two reasons this matters to us:

1. Less available ice in the area makes the BGSU Ice Arena MORE valuable and helps justify the addition of a second sheet of ice here.

2. There might be some 'lightly used' fixtures (compressors, boards, glass) that could be bought cheap.

I always wondered if the reason the falcons wore those ugly orange and BLACK uniforms a few years ago was because the U bought up Findlay's unused jerseys.

I'd love to have another ice sheet at BG, alot of the fixtures aren't as lightly used as you'd think. But they're not horribal either.

I got wind that the mechanicals of Claus have been sold to a Findlay group for 200k.
The group will be converting the old roller rink to a rink (which is all out near the rec center) and upon its completion turn the keys over to the county, giving Findlay two rinks. The whole project I heard is costing between 1million and 1.5.
