Love Costa Rica. It sounds like they're going to Arenal, which has an active volcano and hot springs, plus several canopy tours. I spent part of my honeymoon there. They'll have a blast!
EDIT: After seeing the second link, it looks like they'll be further south than where we stayed. Still, Costa Rica is a beautiful country with a lot of friendly folks. I'm a bit jealous!

Went to Costa Rica for the first time last month on a cruise and it was very nice. Didn't do any of the stuff the team will be doing but I heard about it from our cruise director and it all sounds fun. Hope they have a great timeTG1996 wrote:Love Costa Rica. I went on a fishing trip to Costa Rica about 5 yrs. ago with my brother, my son from Colo. and a few of his buddies...We did the "canopy thing"....only problem was I got stuck about 2/3 of the way to one of the landing sites and hung in the air for the better part of an hour while the guide climbed down the tree, got the jeep and went back for some "rescue ropes" which they had forgotten (or neglected) to bring along. It was NOT one of my greatest moments...and one of my prized BGSU caps fell off into the forest in the process! (of course, my smartass brother made some comment about seeing an ape with a BG cap running around the forest later)...

At least the ape had good taste!Class of 61 wrote:I went on a fishing trip to Costa Rica about 5 yrs. ago with my brother, my son from Colo. and a few of his buddies...We did the "canopy thing"....only problem was I got stuck about 2/3 of the way to one of the landing sites and hung in the air for the better part of an hour while the guide climbed down the tree, got the jeep and went back for some "rescue ropes" which they had forgotten (or neglected) to bring along. They did, granted those were regular season gamesFalconboy wrote:What would really be awesome is if the radio team could somehow make the trip to give us the broadcast of the games down there. I can't remember if they did this for the Cancun trip a while back or not.
