There was a reason she and I were relegated to whistle.

But MAN, can she handle a mace [with CHAINS even!] :-D

Me too. Clearly I'm not a band guy- I'll stick to forums where I know something. If I can find one! ;-)

It's definitely good to see that the university is making sure that the practice fields will be well equipped similiar to what they would do for the football team. It'll be interesting to see how it looks come August with the way the summer heat goes I'd be surprised if it has grass.

If they do the tiling right, maybe there could be irrigation on the band fields like the rest of campus!

I saw they did some hyrdo-seeding to the new fields. Aside from field turf that is the only truly viable option if the field is to be ready by August.

Thank goodness they didn't lay sod, it would have all died within 2 weeks.

The paper said they put irrigation in the new field, as long as they keep it watered, the band might actually have a pretty nice new home by August.
Yeah right girl!

I noticed something this past week...that road running between the health center and the CMA is now going to run through lot 12 out to the new lots. They ripped up the sidewalk at the end there and it looks like a 4 way stop should be up soon. I wonder if they will take that all the way down to Poe for another entrance into the new lots.

That would do wonders though for the mess that usually occurs when classes are getting out in the afternoon, assuming they take that all the way out to poe road that is.

The dirt road that usually formed there (going all the way out to Poe) during fundies week was always fun to drive down. :-D

Wait. You mean to tell me that people would drive on the grass where there wasn't actually a road???

Was walking through the CMA and passed Dr. H's office. She has a map of all the planned construction for campus. The road won't go all the way through.

Also the field has been fenced off, so it will remained undisturbed until Fundies week. After then however the field might not last lol.

btw. noticed that construction for the wolfe center won't start until sept. Good thing they destroyed Saddlemire when they did (over a year ago) and that they had that big ground breaking/ ground building ceremony in april. Just makes me laugh. Oh well
