"pretty good F'n deal for you I would say so quit bitching. It isn't all that unfair now is it?"
Pretty good deal for you, as well, since you're a BG alum (assuming you got your degree). Too bad the name 'Falconboy' is already taken

It's not about television coverage, nearly every game is already on TV, it's about playing the rigors of a SEC or Big XII schedule vs playing a Mt West or WAC schedule. There's no comparison.Globetrotter wrote:If Ohio State started the season and it was ruled that they did not get enough television coverage so they were not allowed to win the National Championship you would say that was fair?

How do you know there is no comparison? Those teams play 75% of their out of conference games at home.bgsukid wrote:It's not about television coverage, nearly every game is already on TV, it's about playing the rigors of a SEC or Big XII schedule vs playing a Mt West or WAC schedule. I believe Tek mentioned that they should not share in the money because they don't help to get it.

Orrin Hatch is a Republican from UTAH. He doesn't need any help getting re-elected in a state that for McCain by a 62-35 margin.tekekini wrote:http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...x.html?eref=T1
This anti trust thing is a BS joke to secure votes in the next election but if any of this comes to fruition I agree with what this guy says.
Do you agree?

That will never, ever happen. The BCS will find a way to get Ohio State into the NC if there was any way it could be considered legitimate. Ohio State has such a huge fan base that putting them in the NC guarantees huge piles of cash for everyone involved. This is the fundamental problem with the BCS for purists such as myself. The BCS Championship puts the teams in that will generate the most revenue, not necessarily the teams that are most deservingbgsufalcon24 wrote:if and when Ohio State goes 12-0 and gets shut out of the NC game (which is becoming more and more likely with each BCS bowl loss for the Buckeyes)

Didn't think so. They are a far cry from Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, USC, Oregon, Ohio State, Texas, Auburn, Alabama, Michigan (historically), Wisconsin, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Miami (FLA), Florida State.

You have to admit, right now, if there's ever a situation where 2 other BCS teams also finish undefeated, OSU is not going to the NC game because of their performances in 2006 and 2007. Those other 2 teams are going to get the shot, especially if they are teams from the Big XII or SEC. Now if the Buckeyes are one of only 2 undefeateds, or the only one, or if they are ahead of undefeateds from outside the BCS, they're in for sure. I'm just saying don't be surprised if for example, Georgia and Missouri finish unbeaten next year. They'd get the shot over OSU because of OSU's maligned status on the national stage and because of the overall strength of the SEC/Big XII.kmurphums1 wrote:That will never, ever happen. Thanks for repeating exactly what I said. Of course, I'd say that Oklahoma is about done with NC chances too. They blow in big games worse than OSU.

So...is there a comparison between playing a MWC or WAC sked and the Big Ten sked these days? Not much...Hell, the Big Ten hasn't been this weak in a long time.
The BCS sucks and needs to be destroyed...

Big Ten is getting better and Michigan is still another year away.
Look out for MSU, Iowa, and Michigan next year to pressure PSU and OSU. It is about to get competitive.
