I just couldn't see him supplanting Grady (now that he's hitting), Coco (maybe soon though), Torii Hunter, Jayson Werth or Adam Lind. We'll see how it looks in a couple weeks though, if he's still available.

I drafted him in the 13th round of our minor league draft.

I promoted him to my active roster right away and feeling the benefits of his power output.

.278 with 6 HR/14 RBI in 21 games, slugging .556... I don't think we'll be seeing Nolan at Victory Field this weekend...

Yeah, I got tickets at the beginning of the yeat for Sunday's game. This Indian team has been tough to follow this year. As a Pirate fan, the Indians do not have any real propsects to get excited about. It is even worse since the Pirates called up Andrew.

Nolan hit his 7th HR tonight, drove in 2 in a 3-1 O's win. Keep on hitting Nolan!

Nolan was the #5 "Web Gem" tonight on Baseball Tonight for gunning a runner down at home on the fly. Also picked up a couple RBI in the loss to Chicago.

Nolan hit his 13th HR of the year tonight vs. NY, tying Andy Tracy's record for most career MLB homers by a BG alum. His 40 RBI are a single season best for a Falcon and also close to the career record.

Not sure that Nolan's played long enough in the majors this year to be "qualified" for rookie of year candidate... but his numbers compare quite favorably to the White Sox rookie 3rd baseman, who's considered the favorite....

He had been getting some talk for the award in May or June, but he's really cooled off since then. He's definitely played enough this year, he came up in early/mid May and has been close to an everyday player since.

FWIW, The Cleve. PD had a short article re: Nolan Reimold the other day, indicating that he was a candidate for rookie of the year.... Last I checked, he and the Wsox 3rd baseman had almost identical BA... but I'm pretty sure Nolan has more HR's (15-16?).... and a higher OB% etc.
Unfortunately, playing for a bad team doesn't help him...but then again, the W.sox aren't exactly bowling over people in a LOUSY division, while the O's still have to play 19 games vs. NY, Bost., TB etc.

The AP just sent down that he's out for the year with tendinitis in his Achilles, surgery next Wednesday. The column says he's expected back for spring training after rehab.

Good luck and get well soon, Nolan! Great rookie season!
