Some of you probably remember this getting some mention last year when USC & UCLA agreed to both wear color jerseys, but I like this idea myself:
The NCAA approved a request to allow teams, when approved by the conference office and agreed to by both teams, to wear colored jerseys as long as they are clearly contrasting in color. When agreement is unable to be reached, the visiting team shall wear white.
Teams can both wear colored jerseys when agreed on this year

As did Bufffalo and Miami on election night last year. (Red v. Blue)
I like the way it looks. I think the white requirement is a throwback to black and white game films and TVs. With everything in color today, this makes sense.

I agree that it does look pretty cool, but I would hope it stays for mostly special occasions and rivalry games, since I kinda like the tradition of a team having a home uniform and an away uniform.

I gotta agree with YdFalcon...although, seeing Orange vs. Blue for the Battle of I-75 will look pretty cool.

I like the idea of the visiting team wearing their 'home' jersey as long as there is enough difference. Of course if I were any team playing the buckeyes I would never agree to it just to piss off the buckeye faithful.

I fear that this could be the end of white jerseys, except in instances where two teams with the same colors are playing each other.

Same here. And I don't want to see that. I think it's a cool thing to do for special games, but the majority of the time, I think teams should keep with having the visiting team in a white away uniform.VDub26Falcon wrote:I fear that this could be the end of white jerseys, except in instances where two teams with the same colors are playing each other.

I like this. I've never been much of a fan of white football jerseys anyway, as I prefer to see teams wear their school colors.
Good call NCAA.
