Podcastin' With Dennis Williams
I'm proud to report that he's very upbeat about BG hockey right now.

Re: Podcastin' With Dennis Williams
my only issue with the whole thing, and mind you I think Dennis did a very good job. His excitment about his opurtuity, and what it all means is quite evident.
My issue was with the questioner when he claims that hockey is not very big in Ohio, or NW ohio. That is not really the case, and I dare say that if the Ohio High School Athletic people took the time to bring themselves up to date and stopped holding the kids back, Ohio hockey would be far better off.
What changes, end prepost seasons, they server no purpose. The kids are banned from other sports due to the hockey season already, so why not embrace them and let them play. PArt II who cares if a kid plays for his HS and for a travel team at the same time, it works in tons of other states, it can work here and it would better HS hockey.
The final change would be to the set up of the districts and play offs. I believe that each district needs to put forward the best 4 teams. The best team gets the one seed at home, the three teams are each seeded at random in the other 3 districts. This provides each district, with one team representing them in each district final where by the top 4 teams, the best 4 teams would advance to states.
The way it is structured now is just god awful.

Re: Podcastin' With Dennis Williams

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Just click the link, then click the play button for the "MAC Daily's Summer Session"; it should work
