Knight to transfer
Knight to transfer
The BG News has learned Chris Knight will transfer from the program. The team made the announcement earlier today.
As nice as the press box was, I'm loving being able to root for the Falcons now. Too bad I have to do so from Illinois.

Better keep falconboy away from any sharp objects...
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Hopefully he will land at a program where he won't have to work at anything to remain a starter. Good luck Chris.

Maybe Falconboy is the reason he is transferring.

Re: Knight to transfer
Wow...what a shock. I did not expect to read a thread like this when I got back from lunch. Man, is Coach Orr really asking that much of players that they feel the need to transfer? What is going on?

Re: Knight to transfer
good riddance...he never put out enough effort to show people the talent he really had. this sucks for the program talent wise but he wasn't a good attitude to have on the team in the first place

Well, I was too. Now , maybe not so much as before. You can mark this season down as a wash as far as I'm concerned. If you wanna berate me for that opinion go right ahead, but none of you can tell me with a straight face that we compete for anything this year. Basically , '09/'10 is another rebuilding year.Falconfreak90 wrote: I'm looking forward to Year 3 of Coach Orr!!!
Sounding like Dakich landed a kid that had mountains of potential but just didn't have the work ethic to fit Orr's system. It may take a few years before we see a championship caliber team. I guess a great bunch of our freshman will be in the fire sooner rather than later.

Did you look up from your half-empty glass of Shirley Temple to notice last year's team winning the MAC regular season CHAMPIONSHIP?Falconboy wrote:It may take a few years before we see a championship caliber team.
And you wonder why people rip you to shreds everytime you log in.

Re: Knight to transfer
What attitude are you referring too? He never came off as a player who was uncoachable (cough, cough Nate Miller). Chris was a team player, although he made some questionable decisions, I would not classify him as a bad attitude. DC had a bad attitude with that stunt he pulled during the Fordham game.drumstix2388 wrote:good riddance...he never put out enough effort to show people the talent he really had. this sucks for the program talent wise but he wasn't a good attitude to have on the team in the first place
I am sad to see him go as well but he will land on his feet and the BG naysayers will try to claim his as one of their own.

Re: Knight to transfer
This is a shame, indeed, but I can't really say it's a surprise. Best of luck to CK wherever he goes (I'm guessing a D2 school so he doesn't have to sit out a year).
Re: Knight to transfer
Of course, he could be transferring for non-basketball related issues. Like academics, a certain major that we don't offer, personal reasons, etc. He's not just a basketball player. Best of luck to him.
Re: Knight to transfer
Wasn't this one of Dakich's players?
