No Joplin, No Pidcock
No Joplin, No Pidcock
The Blade reported this morning that Joplin is not practicing as he spent part of the summer working on becoming academically eligible. No word on his current academic status though.
And Alex Pidcock, also from Sylvania Southview, recently informed the coaching staff he was not interested in playing football. Both guys were/are preferred walk-ons.
Feels weird posting about something from the Blade when Ryan is on here doing all that work. I feel dirty.

But I am at work and don't think I should be watching the video right now, maybe during lunch, but not while I'm supposed to be working. But I can post during work, because no one knows I'm not working. If I watch the video, they will all know I'm goofing off.ZiggyZoomba wrote:Plus, Ryan had that info last night in his video blog regarding day one...

This is actually one comment I would like to agree with...as bad as it sounds. I LOVE the video content, it's great to see the interviews and whatnot available. However, I do think that a lot of us that are keeping updated while at work would like to see written articles as well. I watched Ryan's video last night, and enjoyed it, but if I were at work I think written words are a lot more feasible.
Of course, that being said I realize that Ryan & Grant are doing this for free, and for fun, so carry on with what you want. I'm just saying that while the Videos are awesome and look cool, for those of us at work written articles are probably better.
And yeah, I know we should be WORKING while we're at work, but you know

At this point, I don't think you should should be so picky. This is great content that we never got much of in the past.hammb wrote:Warthog wrote:But I am at work and don't think I should be watching the video right now, maybe during lunch, but not while I'm supposed to be working. Keep it coming in whatever format is easiest for you guys!

Oh I agree, and I'm not trying to be picky or complain in the least. I love what they're doing, and if they want to tell me to shove it that is quite fine too.thewebboy wrote:At this point, I don't think you should should be so picky. I just wanted to let them know that while I appreciate the effort sometimes written articles are actually superior to video content. They should continue to do stuff however they see fit, and by whatever means is easiest for them. I just wanted to let them know.
Regardless, the videos are great and I have no problem waiting until I get home to watch them.

Guess I wouldn't ask for a complete transcript, but if there was a quick and easy way of posting a text version of the highlights of the report that would be cool. And cut me some slack if I post a Blade report that Ryan has already covered in the video.
Or maybe I just have to check out azz.com at home every morning before going to work.

I don't disagree with any of you --- a quick notebook blog would serve everyone well. But I had been hitting it hard all morning and all day and was ready for bed at around 10. This was my way of being lazy and getting the information out there as quickly as possible. You don't have to tell me that I'm more interesting in print than in person. That's pretty obvious. But you could save us all some trouble and buy a freaking pair of headphones!

Great stuff Ryan, keep up the good work. I didn't want it to come off as a complaint or anything like that. I guess I just wanted to point out that sometimes print is still the preferred medium.

Ryan...if you'd shave and put on a decent shirt maybe people would buy the "I'm watching a continuing ed video" excuse...

Ryan, really nice job and dedication to the Falcon Nation. We need to chip in and get you an upgrade on your housing, sounds like Grand Central Station goes by your door every 10 minutes.

You mean you don't do that???????? I can't get AZZ at work, so I HAVE to check in the morning before I leave!Warthog wrote:Or maybe I just have to check out azz.com at home every morning before going to work.

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Strangely enough, I CAN get AZZ at work, but I can't get any on my fantasy sports sites, so I have to check on them first every morning.Falcon Fanatic wrote:You mean you don't do that???????? Just saw this posted on JJHuddle:
"Shaun Joplin just heard from BGSU and HAS qualified academically. He will be report to BG later today and will be at practice for tonight."
Of course, that was probably in Ryan's latest video update that I haven't watched yet.
