I like what Coach Orr is doing with the program and the players. Knight has been a high risk player since he hit campus. This event does not suprise me.

Good luck to Knight. Coaching can make up for the talent loss.
Just play the games.

Its not that I don't like football-its OK, but I never understood its appeal relative to the myriad other sports out there. As an event (tailgating, halftime shows, etc) it certainly has become popular but as a sport, ehhh. Not nearly the action of hoops, soccer or track where stuff is going on pretty much all the time.Falconfreak90 wrote:Sorry fellas...love all the BG teams but NOTHING comes before FALCON FOOTBALL.ZiggyZoomba wrote:Amen... amen!JWEIII wrote:They haven't kicked a football yet, but I'm already hoop dreaming. EXACTLY, not nearly as much action. People don't miss as much as they gab throughout the game. Watch the crowd at a football game and you'll find most are not paying attention to the game until those key 4th downs or near the end. If they can't socialize due to dismal weather then most don't attend. That is why it is essential to have entertainment (bands, cheerleaders, special on-field presentations, video boards and the like) and good weather or a dome.h2oville rocket wrote:Its not that I don't like football-its OK, but I never understood its appeal relative to the myriad other sports out there. I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.
Re: Knight to transfer
Yeah, but you see that at a lot of sporting events. Initial attention is paid at the beginning, then a lag throughout the middle, and then people start paying attention again near the end. During that lag time, people do what they normally would, and talk with the people around them. I don't think that this is special to football. Now, some sports have fewer of these casual fans and thus the ratio makes it look like more of the fans in attendance are actively paying attention the whole game, but still, I think it's common to all sports that people's attention lags a little during the middle of the game.FalconTurf wrote:EXACTLY, not nearly as much action. Wow. I think soccer has pretty much non-stop action but I'm not sure I'd put it to the right of total action on a spectrum. Guess you prefer it over football big time, huh? But you do make my point for me- lots of action in sports like soccer, less so in football. You're gonna LOVE the Tour!

Re: Knight to transfer
Don't get me wrong. I ready for some football as well. We switched cable providers and I now get ESPNU and 360 so I'm hoping to see more Falcon Football on the tube this season.
