Good Night, Nurse!
Good Night, Nurse!
So, what does a 29-5 team (15-1 in conference) that returns 4 of its top 5 scorers need for next season? That's right...another superstar.
Check out the most recent game report. Oregon transfer Tamika Nurse is tearing it up with a repertoire that includes breakaway layups and deadeye three point shooting.
I'm sure the other MAC coaches couldn't be happier.

Just go to the bgsufalcons.com site...several articles, on day by day basis, talk about the ladies' trip and related "adventures"... But from the scores of the games, the competition seems rather weak to say the least.michhiker28 wrote:Link?

Yeah, from the sounds of it Nurse is a great athlete to compliment Pontius in the backcourt. We may possibly now have the most athletic and best shooting backcourt in the entire Mac. Nurse will probably multiple positions at either pg and sg or wing guard(ie. Golds position). We are so loaded it's not even funny.Class of 61 wrote:Just go to the bgsufalcons.com site...several articles, on day by day basis, talk about the ladies' trip and related "adventures"... On the competition. Yeah, we havent' played anybody on this trip probably won't till maybe the Costa Rican national team. The first outing was vs 17 and under players, the second team a local collegiate team , the 3rd vs a club team with older players. The competition does seem to be heading in upward direction though. The Costa Rican National Team might give us a gauge as to how good we are or our potential for the year.

Re: Good Night, Nurse!
The day to day blogs have been great...sounds like the team is having a blast on and off the court. Sure the competition hasn't been that good but this is still a great opportunity for the team.
Love the story about their bus going up a mountainside road behind a runaway cow. LOL.
Soon, it will be time to win a 6th straight MAC title...and get the MAC tourney trophy back where it belongs in BG!

I heard that we are playing the Costa Rican National team to see if we should replace them as the National team.

Did we ever PLAY the C.R. Natl. team? Never saw any kind of summary on this purported contest....it'd be a shame to just play some club teams and even the U. of C.R.'s team, which obviously, from the pix, was radically undersized compared to BG.VDub26Falcon wrote:I heard that we are playing the Costa Rican National team to see if we should replace them as the National team.

Wow. I thought we were supposed to play a real team, but it said that the doubleheader was the 4th and final games for the Falcons. What's up with that?

Maybe after the scores in the first 4 games no one wanted to play us anymoreHoopsFan wrote:Wow. I thought we were supposed to play a real team, but it said that the doubleheader was the 4th and final games for the Falcons. What's up with that?

That's an interesting thought. I actually thought maybe that one club team with older players was supposed to be the national team but I think not. It'd be kinda funny if the national team did chicken out after hearing of the beatdowns. I was hoping we get a crack at them to see how we fared.

That happened on my honeymoon on the Pacific Coast Highway in N. California. (I am talking about the runaway cow.) If it wasn't for the pics we took, we had been at many a winery in Sonoma/ Napa, it might not have happened.Falconfreak90 wrote:The day to day blogs have been great...sounds like the team is having a blast on and off the court. You, your wife, a cow an a camera on your honeymoon? Sounds just like mine. Did you guys have a midget? We were indoors, though. The Pacific Coast Highway? Really? I AM impressed!
