Stellar Field renovations

Can anyone tell me if the Steller Field renovations have started or how they look so far? One the most recent Ask the AD clip GC said the facility was getting new dugouts and that the batters eye was being replaired or replaced. Just wondering if anything was going on now?

The batters eye has been replaced. Of course it was done two days after some of the best 18&U teams in the midwest played on the field, because this administration couldn't get it done on time, as it was scheduled to be done last week. Unbelievable! At least I hope it was done RIGHT this time and doesn't blow down in a month or two like the last one did, completely wasting $5000-6000 !

How about the Learfield Cup rankings in another post? If a coach got these kinds of results that this administration has gotten, they would have been gone a LONG time ago.

It has not started! They are probably getting another set of plans done to rebid it again for the 128th time!

I don't know about that. All of this with the baseball facility started about 10 years ago and three athletic directors and there is still nothing major done! They have had plans and fund raising for at least two different lockerroom facilities as well as field and stadium renovations and everytime it gets going again, they do another study and a new set of plans. I think we have spent enough on drawings and plans to REBUILD the whole facility!

I'm sure someone else will get on here and complain about something Steller Field-related, but ...

I drove by the other day, & they've added banners for each of the MAC championship teams to the outfield walls at both baseball and softball. They look good!

No, but factman will be complaining about how much the MAC Championship banners cost when sees them.

Not at all....they were sorely needed and help dress up the facility.

The "W" flag is a whole different category!
