OSU vs Navy

Post by Falcon137 »

Driving today I heard on ESPN radio that Ohio St. is asking their fans to root for both teams and be respectful to the Midshipman. They have even produced a video for it asking that all 105,000 in attendance do their part. Has anyone seen this?

Interesting. There was a really crappy situation at Rutgers a few years ago. A group of students, not sure how many, were being pretty derogatory toward Navy.

I'm personally in shock and not even sure what to say to that because of my undying support, loyalty, and respect toward our men and women in uniform, but the Rutgers students section got a bad rep for a bit until everybody forgot the situation. I suppose the goal is to avoid a similar situation in a couple of weeks in Columbus.

There's another video reminding 105,000 Ohio State fans to chew with their mouths closed and breathe through their nose. :-D

And one suggesting more appropriate places to relieve oneself than the stairs of the parking garages-actually the Pres there did a video like that a few years ago, I think. They're also working on the walking upright with knuckles off the ground thing. We're hoping if it works in Columbus it will spread to Toledo.

No doubt. Navy seems to have a solid team every year lately. They have a pretty tough sked this year but I'll be rooting for them in week 1.

They first have to get the "Riot With Safety" video which includes furniture fire precautions and how to overturn a vehicle by using you legs, not your back.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Tek, I still love the fact that you are so much in love with BGSU that you keep all articles about BGSU saved in your favorites list just so anytime you want to talk about us, it's easy to find. Now go back in the closet and dance to Ay-Zig in your hidden BGSU attire.

How typical of a small school fan, choosing to deflect with half attempts at insults instead of acknowledging or discussing the topic that has been offered. It is quite hypocritical for it to be ok to group every OSU fan into one and label them as a rogue gang but when I pose the same ideas at you in regards to your own congregation you ignore it and refuse to acknowledge it. Even when the proof is right in front of you.

What a sad sad group you are BG fans.

Never fails.
