Gam Day!

Post by troyfootball05 »

I've been trolling around reading threads here for a while and I'd thought I'd stop in and say hi.

I arrived with the Troy University Football Pep Band last night around 10pm. We're staying in Toledo. Not much to do but eat. But nonetheless we're having fun. The Full Sound of the South Marching Band is about 330 strong. We've brought a 100 piece pep band that should entertain and add something to the experience.

Very excited about this game. As you know, we return three on defense (Brandon Land, DE; Cameron Sheffield, DE; and Boris Lee, LB). We replace two DT's, two LB's, two SF's, and two CB's. If you guys have a good passing game, you could have a field day.

See you guys there! :D

You got that right! Toledo has more restaurants per capita than any city in America I think.

Enjoy the game tonight. I just hope your band is respectful enough to not try and play over the BG band as some schools do.

If you're looking for things to do in Toledo try the Art Museum or the Zoo.

While those things are okay, thy aren't usually doable for band trips of a day or so. For some reason, at least at BG, those things can never be pulled together, and you're never allowed out of the staff's sight so just up and going isn't an option. At least not for the FMB.

Make sure you try a big bowl of Packo's chilli before you head down to the game, and then please stay down wind.

I would have said take a quick trip out to Cedar Point and ride some of the best coasters in the country. Leave at 10am get there by 11am + leave at 3pm get to the game by 6pm = A great day and a great football game.
