It's only a 5 hour drive from Omaha, but it's not likely I will have the funds to go. Which is a total bummer.

I unfortunately wont be in attendance. But if you see 12 Gauge on the Mizzou sideline having an emotional breakdown when we take the field, dont be too hard on him.

Looks like I've seen a couple people saying they are going. If you are going, any ideas on where to park and tailgate? We plan to be in Columbia by noon and would like to see where other people are thinking about parking. I've traveled to Wisonsin and Boston College, amongst others, over the last several years and we are looking forward to this one. Also, sounds like a lot of people going to the Ball State game too. See you there.

I haven't looked in to specifics on a tailgate spot yet. Secure the hotel was the first move as it is family weekend at MU so many rooms were booked. I'll probably go to a Tiger board and see what they would recommend.

We were a little late on the hotel, but we are staying at the Eastwood Motel a couple miles from the stadium. Sounds like a classy joint. I have yet to come across a Missouri board with posts as fine as ours, so if anyone has found one, could you pass it along. From some random sites and blogs, it looks like Lot H attracts a lot of hardcore tailgaters. Here is the link to map of Missouri parking:

In terms of message boards I would suggest the following:
http://www.tigerboard.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.insidemizzou.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (Scout site)

Also on the map the area coded with an R is going to be off limits this year (area in the extreme SW on the map). It is known as Reactor Field and was one of the better tailgating areas but due to several alcohol-related incidents it is no longer a tailgating/parking option.

I get Fox Sports Midwest. I thought this game would be included. They are advertising that all non conference Mizzou games will be shown on pay per view. For $29.99 a game. I believe Mizzou is getting a little carried away in what they think they can charge. MIZZOU football tradition includes BG spanking them 3 out of 4 times since 95. I hope thye have to lower the price due to no interest from their fans. I will still pay that amount even though it is ridiculous.

First of all, congratulations on the fine victory tonight. I'm very impressed with the way Bowling Green handled a traditionally tough Troy program. To answer your question/issue with the pay-per-view, that is the way it is going to be. We would love to televise both the BG and Furman games on Fox Sports Midwest for free but unfortunately the Big XII tv contract does not allow Missouri to do this. Pay-per-view is the only option and we will undoubtably lose money in this venture but at least it allows some individuals to see the game that otherwise would not.

I am not sure what you mean. Who would not be able to see the game otherwise?

The way I see it, I already pay extra for out of market fox sports, why should I pay extra? Who will see this game that otherwise could not?

I think he means that, because the Big 12 contract will not allow FSN to carry this game, having it available on pay-per-view gives people who are willing to pay for it the chance to watch the game, as it isn't going to be available anywhere else.

And I haven't had a chance to look yet, but didn't I see earlier that this game was going to be available on ESPN Gameplan? If so, how much is it for one week of Gameplan? I think I am going to go that route, buy a case of beer, and sit on my AZZ watching wonderful, glorious college football aaaaaaall day long. :-D

Our television contract does not allow this game to be broadcast on cable television. The only option that is allowed is to put the game on pay-per-view, otherwise the only people that could watch would be those at Faurot Field. The Big XII TV deal is awful.

I have bought individual games on espn game plan cheaper than $29.99. I said I was going to bend over and purchase the game, but it still sucks.

I have had Direct TV for 12 years and this BIG XII contract sucks. I have paid extra for this and not been charged in years past.
