Just wow. The showing greatly exceeded my expectations. That is a very good Troy team BG defeated tonight. That can't be understated.

Congratulations to the players, coaches, and fans. I have a feeling we're in for a enjoyable ride.

This was really impressive a lot of balance( well compared)... Very unpredictable I am not sure we ran a play more than 3 time... I think we played a tough team and this win says a lot.... Only complaint and its minor; I HOPE JERRY learns to kick the ball in the endzone and not to the 40 yard line.... But it was nice to see a good "D"... but the MAC to be won with offense but a very impressive start. Congrats to coach Clawson.

My top ten.

1. The Falcons grew sharper, stronger, and made fewer mistakes with EACH quarter.

2. The Falcons clearly are well conditioned, and it started to show in the mid/late 3rd quarter.

3. They went for the kill in the fourth quarter, on both sides of the ball.

4. They were calm, focused, and not once got "down." This team has bought into whatever the coaches are selling.

5. Troy is indeed a very good team.

6. The defense actually worn down an offensive front line, and by the end of the game they were getting bona fide penetration like I haven't seen since the fabled Killer Bees of 1992.

7. The CBs were pretty badly victomized in the first half. Yet they kept their composure, and improved each quarter.

8. The coaches clearly made adjustments at Halftime that actually worked.

9. The offensive play calling was balanced, fresh, and mixed things up at the right times.

10. Troy really did look rattled as the game got late in the third quarter.

It was fantastic to see a varied, less predictable attack by our offense, and quick adaptation by our defense to shut down Troy's quick moving offense. All in all, this was a great game and showed that Coach Clawson and his staff absolutely knew what they were doing as far as recognizing the talent in this team and utilizing it to extreme effectiveness in ways that the Brandon era did not.

Great job coach Clawson! You could really see his stamp on this team out there tonight. A very aggressive and swarming to the ball defense and a few new wrinkles on the offensive side of the ball. Excellent work against a very good and athletic team. I think Troy will score more than 14 points against Florida next week...we will see.

Needless to say I was very pleasantly surprised by our performance. Coach Clawson seems like a pretty good hire right about now eh. Although there's still ton of football left to be played , I like what I saw this evening a lot. We threw to the TE Schiedler about 6 times for 72 yds , can you believe that. We ran more traditional formations, and Sheehan looked good rolling out of the pocket. The playaction pass to Barnes for the first TD was simply beauty. I'm excited for BG football again.
