I saw Dave up in the booth. Couldn't hear anything with the Troy pep band though.
I thought it was a classy touch for the BGSU Drum Majors to welcome them on the big-screen before the game, and that they came down from the stands to watch the half-time show. Nice bit of respect.
Also, is the BGSU band larger this year? Seemed that way in terms of raw numbers.
Props to Troy's pep band!!

This was incorrectly reported when the PA guy was replaced last year. Griff didn't do any PA for us last year and I don't think that was him last night at The Doyt.jpfalcon09 wrote:The new PA announcer is Jason Griffin, he does games on BCSN for the Mud Hens, he's very good. He definitely kept the crowd excited tonight, and anyone is better than the last guy we had.
all bowling green
Re: Props to Troy's pep band!!
Troy's band was definitely fun to watch/hear! Their sound probably carried a little more for a few reasons:
1) they were directly facing the home stands
2) they had an electric bass backing them up
3) they're a "play loud all the time" band from the South
FMB is roughly 240 members this year, about 30 more than we're used to. I'm pretty sure that's the biggest band BGSU has had recently, and possibly the most in BGSU history.

Very cool. Some Troy fan on their forum was gushing about how their pep band was louder than the entire BGSU band. Never mind the blatheringly ignorance of the fact they were playing in a line directly across and into the radio booths.Zig wrote:Troy's band was definitely fun to watch/hear! The FMB played well, looked very good.

My bad about that, Dave certainly sounds like Griff on the microphone so I guess I jumped to conclusions. Thanks for the correction.Dayons_Den wrote:This was incorrectly reported when the PA guy was replaced last year.
