lol yea good observation.

It made the play action actually work too. That is one thing that surprised me a lot is how effective the play action was. Tyler seems to be pretty good at the fake -- I mean everyone in the stadium seemed to be fooled on a couple of those.
The first TD was a thing of beauty. You couldn't execute it any better. Safeties bite on the play fake and then hit the post over the top. Great call, better execution.

Hey everyone keeps mentioning how well conditioned we looked late in the game. Also, with the pressure our D-line and LBs were getting and how fresh we looked late it brought me back to what they were saying about our defensive depth. Coach Clawson mentioned we don't have marquee guys on D so they would make up for it with our depth and rotating guys in.

My question then is did anyone notice our rotation? Did that in fact play a role in how good we looked late in the game?

I donno. But they looked every bit as fresh in the 4th as they did in the 1st, and that was on both sides of the ball.

I think that had to do with the fact that the D smelled blood and was clearly going in for the kill! BG looked HUNGRY last night! I really liked that!

The one thing that got me irked a bit was that on the few occasions where the blitz didn't get to the QB quick enough, there was a wide open receiver that he could throw to. I love blitzing, but you have to have the coverage downfield to make it great.

Missouri looked pretty good today. It's going to be a difficult challenge for us next week, but if we play as well as we did on Thursday against Troy, we've got a good chance. The key is going to be keeping up the defensive pressure, and good quarterbacking from Sheehan, as I'm sure that we're not going to come out running the ball against a mid/upper level BCS team. That's just not our nature.

And oh yeah, Thursday rocked. Clawson is the man, at least for now. The tough thing is to get consistently good play. I don't really know what to expect going forward, but I'm hopeful that "The Claw" has the answers we're looking for.
