Exactly, Flipper. Couldn't have said it better myself. That's how we need to play in big games. Great job to the Falcons, I'm jazzed.Flipper wrote:Now that's what I've been waiting for! We came out in the second half of a close game and gave a good football team NO room for error. We made them pay for virtually every mistake and opening they gave us.
I'm officially declaring us the favorites for 2005...
And I think we're looking like favorites for 2005, but we're going to have to win it.
No doubt, Memphis made mistakes, and no doubt, they didn't have Williams as a force for the game.
But the D made some plays--and seemed to improve after the half, not get worse. And the O came for the whole game. There was that third down play in the third where things were looking a little shaky. Omar converted, and we rolled from then on (much like the Marshall game).
Our seniors deserve this, and I'm glad they were able to win with a win on their record. They have really helped turn our program around. I wish Cole could have scored, but he's a team guy, and the win is going to have to be good enough.
Its a snowy night here in BG, but I have a warm heart right now.
