3 catches, 12 yards half way through the 3rd...apparently the QB hasn't heard much of him either...footballguy51 wrote:I haven't really heard his name even called much.hscoach wrote:Danario Alexander time! He actually beat Jeremy Maclin out in camp 2 years ago for the starting spot and had 9 catches for 82 yards before breaking his wrist in the season opener. Maclin was a starter from then on and the rest is history. I dont know if you guys are double teaming him or what, but I really expected him to go nuts in this game, especially after 10 receptions for 132 last week. Must be some really good defense.

A big penalty (the center with a chop block? I can't see it to judge the call) and we stalled.
ROLL ALONG!!!
Re: Game Thread
I'm hating this empty backfield stuff. Derrick Washington ran for 1,000 yards last year and they dont even use him as a decoy or anything. He's our top returning offensive player and should be on the field at all times!

Not saying Mizzu is 1D, but you're right, without even a running back out there, it's pretty easy for the ends to pin their ears back and rush the passer.
Re: Game Thread
Here we go! Used Washington and Alexander on most of this drive and eventually got a score. They still arent looking like the All-Big 12 that we were expecting this year, but I'll take it. BG still scares me with their offense and defense though. Shouldnt be this hard. Outstanding effort on the road!! Win or lose, I'll be rooting for you guys

This is where a good coach can find a way to close out a tough contest. Let's see what Coach Clawson's got left in the bag.

Need a stand here, guys!!!
Ugh... not a good sign on first down going for 12 yards.

What just happened to our defense? Are we all of a sudden giving them tons of room? We were stopping them all game.
