Magner injury...

Post by Tricky_Falcon »

Saw Cole tonight...he had his right ankle wraped and was limping. Someone asked what happened and I can't quote exactly because I'm a bit intoxicated but at the worst its a ligament sprain if that's possible or just an ankle sprain. He didn't seem too worried about it but it doesn't look like he would be able to run nearly close to full speed.

I probably saw him around the same time too on Wooster at the baseball house. You can't say that he was walking normal. I'm not saying he's needs a wheelchair but he wasn't 100%.

I also saw him last night at the baseball house and he didn't look to be struggling at all. Even though the cops were struggling trying to shut down the party!!

Well what I saw must have been his pimp walk  Oh yeah what does it take to get a full cup of beer at the baseball house? I guess I have to be a tall blonde  No complaints about the nice female scenery though.

For those interested, Cole did dress and play in the scrimmage. While he did start with the first team, later when doing situational plays, he remained on the sideline.

I was at practice on Saturday. It looked like Cole just turned his ankle when he caught a pass and got alittle tangled up with some of the defenders. He tested it a little and then left practice early to receive treatment. He didn't return.

He was taped at the scrimmage and played very little. I talked with Corey about it and he said it was just a turn and that Cole would be fine. So no worries.

Corey saw limited action in the scrimmage also. On Saturday he went low to catch a ball and one of the linebackers accidently put a knee into his thigh. It is bruised and swollen and he has a limp but it will be fine also. As you know he is now 100% offense (WR). He is also working some as a punt returner.

Great time at the picture session on Saturday, Got some great pictures. The band came over and played a few for us. It was an awesome weekend. Can't wait for the season to start.

Scott.

I didn't think it was anything real bad because Cole didn't seem too worried about it. Hey is it true that Coach B was wearing an OU hat before the scrimmage? One of my buddies told me that he was.

Yes he was, but only during warm ups. Once the scrimmage started, he put on a visor.

While at the scrimmage Sunday, the 1st thing I noticed was that Cole was definitely limping... I noticed because I was telling my lady friend about him and went to point him out. He played very little in the scrimmage, held for x-pt and fg attempts when they worked on that. He NEEDS to be healthy before the OU game if we're to have a shot at the Sooners. He usually comes up BIG in big games.

So, if you guys saw him later on Sunday and he wasn't limping much, perhaps it's not serious, but I sure would be cautious with him in practice for a few days at least. 8)
