Lauren Prochaska in Top 25.......

Post by Falconboy »

For those that don't get Curt Miller's tweets, he tweeted several days ago that Lauren was named one of the top 25 juniors in the nation by a national website. The site was not named however. Congrats Lauren. :)

What makes this honor even more significant is that Lauren is the only one listed from a mid-major or non-bcs team.

Although their men's teams have become absolute juggernauts and their women's teams are quite good, Xavier and Gonzaga are both considered mid-majors and definitely do not play in "bcs" conferences.

I like that a Brittany Spears is on the list.

I echo, congrats to Lauren!

Yeah, I missed the Gonzaga player and when I saw Xavier I simply didn't think mid-major at all. It's a testament to those programs.

I have a hard time thinking of Xavier as a mid-major. I mean, have you seen the Cintas Center? The place is absolutely huge.

Our ladies keep playing like they have been and we might be there sooner than expected.

I was just thinking to myself "Xavier is a BCS School, they're in Conference USA!" and then realized they are still in the A-10. I'm honestly shocked they are still in the A-10, especially in basketball.

You realize CUSA isn't a BCS conference either, right?

Where would they move to, not having football really limits where they could go. They would probably need that Big East public school/private school split people thought might happen when the Big East expanded to 16 teams for them to end up moving

My bad...I always have it slip my mind that Lousiville left CUSA to go to the Big East...I don't know why I never remeber that.
