Boise St.

Post by Falcon137 »

I know tonight was disappointing and many of us are upset.

But, tonight changes nothing. Marshall was nothing more than a trap game. That is to take nothing away from Marshall, who came out and played very hard and very determined to get this win. A team coming off a hard fought loss to a nationally ranked Missouri with the biggest home game in BGSU history on the horizon, players had to listen all week on campus of the build up for Boise St.(reading about getting tickets early, getting e-mails everyday about the game). Not to mention the distraction of losing a senior and your best defensive player to suspension. These still are 18-22 year old guys.

However, we still have the MAC and Boise St. coming to town. This loss changes nothing in the grande scheme of things. We still have a top 10 Boise St. coming to town for what should be a sold out and rocking Doyt, with the MAC schedule to follow. A win over Boise would still be on of the biggest in BG history and bring national attention to BG and change the landscape of Falcon football.

Lets get over this one and look forward to beating the Broncos!

Go BG!

Sorry for any grammar or spelling miscues...several beers and venting with friends after a BG loss will do that.

Well stated. Game's over...Time to move on!!

GO FALCONS!!
BEAT BOISE!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I think we're gonna get railed like Kim Kardashian at an NFLPA meeting...but that's just my inner pessimist speaking... :-)

Unfortunately, I have to agree. The way Boise ripped Fresno a new one and GB's offense eerily showing up last night gave me little hope of us actually competing in this game. Then again who knows, BG has been known to do the seemingly ridiculous before. It'd be nice if next game was one of those games.

Breaking news: Falcon Boy has a negative outlook.

In other news: Sky is blue, water is wet.

Im sorry but I cant like our chances. After the Marshall debacle, I dont see this one being close at all. A good team doesnt get trapped, especially by Marshall.....

I'd have to do a complete 180. I think that the Falcons have a decent shot. We all know that Boise is good, but they're going to have to make the long trip east. And yes, good teams do lose trap games. Ask USC about that.

No, USC is awful. Only bad teams lose on the road after a huge road game the week before. I mean Washington didn't even win a game last year, USC will be lucky to win 6 games this year....

I am hopefully optimistic about the BSU game. Boise is a VERY good team. They're beatable, for sure. I'm just not sure that we'll be able to do it. This is a game that both sides have been looking forward to for a long time. We've been clamoring to get the Broncos in the Doyt for years, and folks out here have been looking forward to this game since last year. After seeing what we did out here in '08, I have to believe we have a shot at winning, but I'm not expecting to win.

The offense will need to open it up and score touchdowns...not settle for field goals and stalled drives. The defense has played exceptionally well thus far, and I fear that a bad offense will result in a tired defense, and some potential gaudy numbers for Boise.

Since BGSU football players will be on the field we have a chance to win the game.
