Good Luck, from Boise

Post by BoyCBronk »

I'm really looking forward to a great game with the Falcons this week. I expect lots of physical, hard, clean football this Saturday.

I'd love to make it to a game at BG, but not going to happen this year.

Hope there are no injuries and there is a lot of great action!

Same from me, only thing I don't understand, RAIN, good grief, what is that, we haven't seen any of that stuff sense early June. Good grief.
There are a few hundred Broncos coming for the game, but probably less than a thousand, to darn far.
Sorry for the loss to Marshall, we used to play them once in a while while we were in D1aa. Haven't sense. Nice peeps though.
The game will be on TV here, and all across Idaho. Also in parts of Oregon, Nevada, Wyoming, Montana and Eastern Washington on the Bronco TV network.

If you're coming in for the game, be sure and stop by our tailgate area! We are always set up on the east side of the stadium where the grass meets the north end of the stone parking lot! We are a friendly bunch...well except for BO and he never comes to the games any more, so you're probably safe! :-D :smt042

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

i wish i was going to be able to make the game. i've appreciated your program and fans for a long time, and have a friend who's a BGSU grad who's been talking smack for awhile.

alas, we'll be watching the game from boise, but wish we could be there.

here's to a great game, and much respect from us fans in boise...

Yep, good luck guys on Saturday. You guys have played here twice, but we haven't made the trip out there until now. I'm sure you guys would be stoked to get some revenge at your house. I can't wait for the game!

Hey Falcons! We're in the East visiting and will be in Bowling Green for the game. We'd love to know what to see and do while in your town. We're excited to see a great game and get to meet some of your fans. Tell us, are you generally a friendly crowd to opposing fans or should we hide our rental car and wear helmets? Can't wait for Saturday!

If you have a few days here, I would suggest the Lake Erie Islands for a day trip. Drive up to Port Clinton (45-60 min) and take the ferry over to Put-in-Bay. The fall is great over there and it is not as crowded as in the summer.
Bowling Green fans are a very friendly group, except when Toledo is in town! I think most of the tailgaters would welcome you to stop by for a beverage and some food.........I know we would in Lot L, and the rest of the AZZ group out in the other parking lot near the "hill"! Make sure you take a good look at the "hill" as it is the closest thing to a mountain you will see here! :-D

We should have saved the link to the Troy game thread. Tons of info in there.

As has been mentioned, the group from here tailgates at the edge of the grass on the north end of the main tailgate lot. (Face the "BGSU" on the side of the stadium and walk to your right.) In general, we're a ridiculously friendly group, especially the bunch from this message board. With it being a late start, I'm sure most people will make a full day of tailgating, for better or worse.

Before and after the game depends on how long you're in town and where you're staying. BG itself has a week's worth of unique places to eat to make up for what it might lack in "things for a visitor to do." As far as dinner, Myles Pizza and Campus Pollyeyes' stuffed breadsticks are usually the top vote getters in that debate.

Toledo is 20-some minutes north and has a great zoo and art museum.

As far as whether or not our fans are friendly, I've heard nothing but good things from visiting fans about the group from this board.

Of course, every game has its share of profanity spewing, visitor hating drunks, but (biased though I may be) I'd have to say we have a lot less than many schools.

Another Bronco here. Love your Coach Petersen... thread. I think we stole that forum topic from your guys when the two teams last played. It's a lot more fun when we don't take ourselves (or our coaches and teams) too seriously.

Here's to some snappy banter and a great game next Saturday. Wish I could be there.

I want in on some of this action!

Look forward to the game this weekend Falcon Fans! I have a lot of respect for you guys. Your team put the screws to us last year and shut us out in the second half, ON THE BLUE!

Good luck this weekend, and let's all hope for an injury free event.

Go Broncos!

Go Falcons!

How long will you be in the area? If you like Italian food, go uptown to DiBenedetto's Italian Bistro! It is awesome food!!!!! Please plan on stopping by the AZZ tailgate area before the game!! We always have a FANTASTIC time!!! If you're lucky....you might get to sample hammb's rum soaked cherries....or even better, you might get to WATCH hammb stab at them, trying to get one out of the jar on one of his skinny little forks!!! :smt042
