For out of state alumni

Post by FortWayneFalcon »

I was out wearing my BGSU t-shirt and hat at a grocery store this afternoon and ran into another fan wearing a BGSU shirt. My falcon hat can consistantly be found on top of my head, and very rarely do I run into BGSU fans hear in FW.
Anyways, I'm doing my best to bring NE Indiana into the fold.
The person I met is the parent of the tallest quad drummer on the Falcon Marching Band. And, he said he'd e listening (like me) to the internet broadcast tonight.
I think this is good luck.

GOooooo FALCONS!! BEAT marshall!!!!

I was selling tickets at the door of our JV football game on Monday and I sold a ticket to someone who went to BGSU. He lives in Blair, Nebraska now. Small world. :)

Live in Houston, TX now and there was someone w/ a BGSU license plate cover in our apt. complex. Also, many BG alumni teaching in the district I teach at...if we can get a football recruit from here, that's top notch!

The company my wife works for has three BG alums and where I work has two other BG grads.

There is are quite a few alums here in Indy. The alumni groups meets for beer on the first Thursday of every month. I just started to attend in the past year, but there a re a lot of people on the mailing list.

It still amazes me with relatively how close Indy is to BG and with Ball State close by, that people do not know where the university is and/or thinks we are a D-II school.

That's because Ball State fans only pay attention to the MAC every 15 years when they're worth half a crap. Kind of like a mini-version of Colts/Pacers fans.

I teach in the Galena Park District. The district comes up and recruits BG hard. It's a great place and we're loving every minute. Most of us teach on the North Shore side...great football!

Sure am! Though I have to leave fairly shortly after to make it to work that evening.

I'll probably make the trip to Miami(OH) as well.

Duckunder, I am subbing at CE King. I coached women's basketball at San Jac for 6 years. What apartments do you live in? I'm pretty sure it is my car you see with the BG license plate holder. Is it a grey Ford Taurus? What grade do you teach?

We used to live in Stone Park when I saw the license plate. We've since moved.

Yeah, that was my car. I thought you might teach at North Shore when you mentioned teaching and football. I know that GPISD recruits up at BG every year.
