DeMark Jenkins is out for the season

Coach said DeMark Jenkins is out for the rest of the season. He said it was his arm and it is in a cast. Coach said when Scheidler went down they were going to bring Jenkins in but he got hurt on the next kickoff. He said he might be able to return this year if we made a bowl. Our WRs/TEs have really taken a hit. Pronty (broken foot), Brighton (out), Wiley (out), Jenkins (out) & Scheidler (banged up ankle). Plus, guys like Joplin (won't play this year) & Alaboody (didn't report from what I last heard) probably wouldn't have played this year anyway, that unit has been hit pretty hard.

He's not on the roster. This is a perfect example of why we all need to learn not to get too hyped up about recruiting classes. Way too many times we have guys flame out before they ever have a chance to make an impact on the field - names like Alexander and Latkiewicz (sp?) come to mind. Alaboody brought a lot of positive buzz with him (not to mention a lot of great nickname possibilities), but so much for all that.
