Have all the tickets for this game been sold?

(Sorry, I thought this was a "How many different ways can we say..." thread.)

BG Athletics twitter said they're preparing the release to announce the sellout.

As of yesterday morning I had heard there were less than 200 tickets left. According to BG Athletics, they're expecting to sell the last of them this afternoon.

Student tickets shouldn't be for sale. The student tickets are something that the student just has to pick up and use in conjunction with their student ID to enter the game, probably because they were expecting a sell-out. In the past, if too many students came into the game, the students just overflowed into the bench reserve area. I'm sure there will be some tight restrictions on where students can and cannot sit for this game, since all of the other seats have been paid for.

I agree. Student tickets have already been paid for once. I can't really see it being OK to sell them to someone else.

It's the student's responsibility to pick them up....if they don't why not release them to the public? It's not as if they didn't give them fair warning that they needed to pick them up beforehand.

My friend was telling me how there's no vibe at all on campus from the students about this game. That's pretty sad.

Wouldn't any student tickets not picked up in advance be available at the gate for walk up students?

I don't think the university ever resells them.

I don't think the university has ever been in a position to resell them, outside of a few exceptions. I can't imagine why the student tickets wouldn't all be gone by the end of today, though. Isn't procrastination a standard minor at every university?

Remember, the beloved Buckeyes play at 3:30, so most of the student body will likely have to watch every second of that before they come over to the Doyt, hopefully not wearing their Ohio State garbage.

I don't find that incredibly surprising, unfortunately. The appeal of this game is totally for the opponent. We're still breaking a new system and nobody really knows what to expect from BG. In 3 games we've seen 3 completely different stories: 1 play well and dominate 3 quarters of the game and win; 2nd game play well against a very good opponent, but fade late and lose; 3rd game play poorly for most of the game and lose to a not-so-great opponent.

Could BG keep the game close, and even win? Sure, it's possible, but I think it takes a pretty optimistic point of view to expect such a thing this weekend. Boise is REALLY FREAKING GOOD.

I, and most of us, are really excited about this game, largely because this is probably the best opponent to ever come into Doyt Perry stadium. The problem is if you're not entrenched into loving BG football, it's pretty clear that this is NOT the best BG team to ever play in Doyt Perry.

If BG is 3-0, or even 2-1, I think the buzz surrounding this game would be huge. As it is, I can understand why people aren't as excited about it. It's not tempering my enthusiasm any, I've been wanting to get Boise into our stadium for years. And judging by the fact that it's sold out, obviously most of the community is equally excited. I have to believe that the students that ARE there will be plenty excited and rowdy (and that's good because we're gonna need some home field advantage).

I agree with hammb. Come Saturday the student section will be packed and having that #8 next to Boise's name will create an electric atmosphere, the Doyt will be rocking.
