Would you use a free BGSUFalcons.com iPhone app??

Post by ZiggyZoomba »

Here's how it's been described to me:

Initially, the app would provide access to team rosters and bios (which would be excellent for those at the games who wanted to figure out who #19 on the field is, for example), photo galleries, the latest news from BGSUFalcons.com, and integrated support for twitter from the department and coaches who use it and there are plans for additional upgrades, etc. to the app, but initially those would be the major points to it.

I'm assume it would have scores (since it's tied to BGSUFalcons.com) as well... and yes, I said free!

It would be great if they made an app for BlackBerry users as well.

Good luck with that. I've looked at that API numerous times and still have no idea how anything gets programmed for it.

On topic, I'm all for an iPhone app. Who's developing it, Grant? Do they need some help?

It would be developed by the company that hosts BGSUFalcons.com... so there would be really tight integration with all the features on the main website.

No thanks.

1) I don't own an iPhone and this certainly wouldn't tip me over the edge to get one.

2) Even if there were one for my MotoQ, I wouldn't use that, either. I'm not an app user, in general.

Don't have an iPhone, as much as I love 'em. I'm pretty well tied to Verizon with all of my friends being on Verizon, and I like their service. If the iPhone were on Verizon, and they offered this app? Sure I'd probably be interested, but this isn't going to make me jump to them.

Just got a Samsung Rogue, and I like it a lot...I'd probably download a BGSUFalcons.com app if it were offered for this phone.

Don't have one yet, but I'm hoping to get an iPod Touch or iPhone in the next 6 months. If I do get one, yes, I most certainly would use a BGSUFalcons app.

I have a crack berry....if they make one for that I'd be all over it. If it's just for the iPhone then nope. I like Verizon and the iPhone doesn't interest me enough to switch.

I don't use an iPhone and couldn't be paid enough to start. As others have said, if they made one for my phone I would get it. BTW, i'm using the Palm Pre for those who are considering designing the app.

As luck would have it, I got a very good mobile deal through Verizon - which carried mobile service for my place of business.

Six months later the company switched to AT&T. [expletive] me. I keep hearing that the iPhone is coming to Verizon in which I'm very interested and would definitely get this app.
