Back In Ohio

Post by Dayons_Den »

Yikes that storm was nasty and Southerners A. can't drive to begin with and b. throw in a little frost in southern TN and they drive 25 on the interstate with their hazards blinking. . .

Mobile was a blast.

Great people in Mobile- from random people around town, to the owner of the Brick Pit, to the ushers at Ladd Peebles starting the BG...SU cheers, to the random fans who decided to stick out the monsoon and cheer for the Falcons.

Great trip, great game and it was great hooking up with UK, Tercel and UK's brothers- made the game a lot of fun!

Hey couple things I was wondering about- How did our Fans Sound on TV?

What did the announcers say when Cole was punting. . . ?

Hey DD,
Glad you're back ok.
Our fans didn't sound that good until the second half... when Memphis fans either started bailing out.. or were quiet because we were kicking ass.

I didn't hear the announcers say much about Cole punting.. especially since Memphis had its QB punting for them.. they seemed to say more about that than Cole.

they said BG had practiced with cole punting in preseason cos they could get a fake out of it with him rolling out and temas not knowing if he is punting or passing...but when he broke his toe the play was useless

Major,

Did you fly down to Mobile or drive? The reason I ask is a truck passed me on the way home from Mobile that I thought could possibly be yours or Falcon Commander's. Was that you?

Hey DD,
Its spelled Tiercel (another term for a falcon/hawk), without the "i" you degrade me to a japanese car.
Anyway, throughly enjoyed watching the game with you and your girlfriend. glad you had a safe trip.

Major,
As a passenger in UK peregrine's car I figured it wasn't you that passed us. Not so sure an Army man would have an Air force sticker on the back of his car.
Nicely decorated vehicel BTW

I had a couple of those big magnets one time. There like $15 bucks. I rented an RV to drive to the College Gameday BG vs. NIU and they blew off the RV while I was on the turnpike. I was bumbed out.

Check SBX. They were one of a few things I had to divert my eyes from when I was up there last week in an effort to save my bank account.

That happened to me in '03. It was a real bummer; I really wish I had them in Mobile.

SBX. They are costly however.

I bought the larger one two years ago, and my 3 year old ripped off his beak on the trip to Norman, so I bought the smaller one. Something like $17 & $12 depending on the size.

At the University Bookstore in the union they have helmet magnets as well- with our 2004 design. Similarly to your stories, the city of mobile know has falcon football helmet magnet. . ..
