I plan to get there around 11ish, I think. I was thinking noon, but if I'm going to have mac & cheese done by 12:30 I will need to be there earlier. However, if we're going to be part of the article we need more people to volunteer.

Is nobody else out there willing to make a dish for this?
Thanks hammb!!! We'll be out right after the hockey game!!

It's too bad they didn't do this feature at LAST week's game!! LOTS of great food choices and tons of people there too!!

GO BG!!
BEAT THE BOBKITTIES!!!!!
I know I told her that she should have tried to do it last week.

I left her a message about pushing back the time for photos and possibly using Toddpav. I haven't heard back from her yet. If they're not running the article, I'm not sure if I'll actually make the mac & cheese or not...perhaps I will, depends how ambitious I feel :)

I'll keep you all posted what I hear...wish she wouldn't have waited until so last minute to try and do something like this.

Hammb, I can't make this game as I told you last week, but if you are looking for something unique and easy, why not break out the deep-fried Oreos again? I don't know if I would ever put my arteries through that again, but that was one of the greatest things I have ever eaten. It would definitely be something different, but then, I suppose it would entail breaking out the deep fryer. Just thought I would throw it out there. :)

Yep, I will be out at the field most of the day. Of course, I'll be shooting the hockey game, and after that, I'll be out at the field for the cooking out/hanging out/tailgating. And, naturally, I'll have my camera. Grant's got my number. Give me a call when you guys want the pictures. I would like to meet some of you all anyway! Thanks!

I left her that voice mail and she just finally got back with me.

She is going to try to get a photographer there around 2:00. If she cannot she said it would be fine for Todd to take the pictures if he was willing to let them publish the photos in the magazine...obviously there would be a photo credit for him. She'll be out there around 1:00 to interview people and whatnot.

Are you going to make your cheesecake Grant? That sounds awesome. My cousin is making pizza bread, and I'm going to make Grilled mac & cheese. She really wants 4-5 recipes from different people. Will anyone else have something?

Niz, I know you said you were doing a hamburger contest, are you going to be doing anything special with your burgers, and would you be willing to write out the recipe and provide it for a photo around 2? I am going to do burgers as well, but wasn't planning on doing anything special enough with them to publish in the magazine.

So sorry for the late notice on this guys...she was not very responsive to me...

Yeah, I'll make the hab/lime cheesecake and will have it there by 2. Should be cool... hope we get enough participation to make it work!

I hope so too!

I'm going to make bacon & cheese stuffed burgers to go along with the mac & cheese. I may also bring fixings to make deep fried oreos...so hopefully we'll have enough dishes to keep her happy.

It is a cool idea, I just wish we would have had more time and better communication for everyone. The cheesecake sounds awesome, I look forward to it!

It sounds like we're going to need toddpav for the photos, if you don't mind.

Todd, is 2:00 or so okay for you to take the pictures?

I think you guys tailgate like 40 feet from where my group usually tailgates. We are due east of the north end zone in the grass. usually in the second row off the road.

We have a special way of making them. Just like Swenson's in NE Ohio. I think I'm topping them with the bacon explosion and I'm planning to whip up some home made ranch dressing. I'd be happy to write out the recipe but there isn't much to it.

I did mention this whole magazine thing to m y girlfriend and she suggested making a smoked pear stuffed pork tenderloin. If that seems like something that belongs in the article we can whip that up too.
