I feel as though the team also knows that this game will make or break their season. A loss here will almost kill all support for the team. Thus, my prediction:

BGSU: 48
OU: 17

Yes, that's 6 touchdowns and 2 field goals. I feel we are going to find a kicking game as well...or at least I hope.

It can also be 7 touchdowns with a missed extra point. That is another way to look at the kicking game. ;-)

Historically speaking, BG has pretty much owned Ohio. That being said, the Bobcats have been playing fairly well, while BG has struggled somewhat, though you could say our schedule has been quite difficult.

I'm going with BG, mostly on history, and also on the premise that a BG offense cannot be this consistently bad for a whole season, can it? It doesn't seem possible. I think the offense busts out and we even make a field goal this week.

Ohio 17
Bowling Green 31

disclaimer: If we can't score again, and lose as a result this week, It's time to start the countdown to hockey season, because our football team is going nowhere. This game is HUGE.

I think BG takes it unless they keep on making stupid mistakes.

Also, it's high time for Sheehan to start acting like a Senior and not a RS Freshman or something.

BG - 34
UO - 16

1 - the countdown to hockey season is already under 1 day.
2 - It just wouldn't be a BG sports discussion if 24 didn't preemptively declare a season over and a team dead in the water.

It shouldn't, I know, but the incessant negativity of some individuals around here will never, ever cease to amaze me.

Let's just beat the friggin' bobkittens tomorrow.

I think we win if Sheehan avoids throwing into double and triple coverage like I saw last week.

The defense will be fine against OU, and might have a couple interceptions to put it away like the Troy game.

I think this game could be very similar to the Troy game, score wise. BG 31 OU 14.

Hey Mr. Former Freddy, name me a BG team whose season I've declared over that ever accomplished anything. Oh wait...

Let me ask you this perigrinner, since I knew you would chime in (and BO got in there as well), what makes you think that another offensively challenged performance would lead to any changes down the road? We've seen in the past that this team is capable of beating, or losing to, pretty much anybody (except Boise State, apparently). After this game we've got 2 games against absolute doormats in Kent State and Ball State, yet I'm convinced that BG is capable of dropping to either of those teams. If we were at least competent enough to not lose to the absolute scum of Division 1-A/FCS (cough EasternMichigancough, coughMiamicough), then I'd say this game is no big deal. But we aren't. Every game is a must win with this team, since we play better against the good teams than we do against the crappy ones.

Oh, and given your hatred towards calling a game over before the clock hits 0:00, you were probably telling yourself that a comeback was still possible after Boise scored three touchdowns in under 3 minutes last week, when EVERYBODY else in the freakin stadium knew darn right well the game was over. There were 10 people in the chat room last week that all said the same thing simultaneously when we fell behind 22-0. So you and BO can stop singling me out for calling a game or a season over before it's actually physically over, either that or start preaching to the whole choir. That game last week was over in the 2nd quarter, and if we lose this game tomorrow, this season will be too. We're not good enough to overcome a 1-4, 0-1 start.

Oh, and the hockey season begins on October 9th. That scrimmage tomorrow is, well, a scrimmage. It's a preseason game doesn't mean jack. We don't even have a REAL home game until the 23rd.

Hate to state the obvious, but man you two rile me up. You're worse than Cincy.

Man how I wish there were people like 24 in the Boston Red Sox locker room a couple of years ago when they were down 3-1 in the ALCS. It would have been OVER!

I've said it before, and I'm saying it again - get a grip, man.

I like BG to bounce back after a very rough non conf slate. Ohio played Tenn pretty well but hasn't played anyone else worth much.

This is where the REAL season begins and we MUST protect our house in MAC play this year.

Falcons 27, Bobcats 16.

Recently there is never a game where we can go in and have 100% confidence that we are going to win. As a fan, who has seen BG have teams good enough to have 100% confidence that they are going to beat opponents they should be, that is depressing.

BG's talent level >>> Ohio's talent level = we should win this game.

Recent past (see Marshall, the last 2 years of GB's reign of terror here) says we lose this game.

Here's to hoping we've turned the corner (blind homerism? maybe) :drinkers:
