Dave Clawson should give a flying hoot about whether or not the Falcons 'inspired' people after the first MAC game in the middle of rebuilding an entire football program.

So not playing hard and playing uninspired football in the MAC opener is something Clawson shouldn't worry about?

Who says they weren't playing hard or inspired? Is that the case because we lost? Or because OU's offense whipped our defense? Did you see Boise St. whip our defense? Maybe our defense just isn't that good. That doesn't mean they were uninspired or not playing hard.

I said it. I've not seen so little passion with a BG football team since the 80's. Sure, the players got fired up once a quarter or so, but then they simply laid down. This team will be the one to break MiAudi's losing streak.

It was a listless performance with the only energy wearing orange on the turf stemmed from the alumni cheerleaders.

Perhaps we were at different games?

I can't really say it was an uninspired performance considering we kept on scoring and our offense was fighting to get back after each time our defense was taken long a few times. I think it was a case of being unlucky with dropped passes and their offense finding those holes in the defense (which has been the biggest problem I feel so far this year w the D). Yes, it was frustrating to watch at times, but at least they didn't give up and had a chance to tie it within the last minute or two left. If we would have ended up going to OT and winning, I think most would say it was an inspiring performance by the offense to get back into the game, after a lot of unlucky drops. But those were some pretty routine balls that should be caught 99% of the time. Oh well!

Your reasoning made me itch.

Put me in the "this team looked uninspired" category.

I just don't see any emotion out there at all. It's just about time for Clawson to go all Urban and start showing some people the door!

Well, the full idea on that thought was, "If we would have ended up going to OT and winning, I think most would say it was an inspiring performance by the offense to get back into the game, after a lot of unlucky drops. But those were some pretty routine balls that should be caught 99% of the time. Oh well!"

I just think if that 4th down was converted and we scored and ended up winning, it would have been a great comeback after struggling throughout most of the game, which to me would have been inspiring to not see the team give up like last seasons fourth quarters. I think our best football is yet to be played this season... hopefully the team isn't too down on themselves.

Did you see Clawson yelling? How could you confuse him with Romeo?

Boy if that's the case, I sure hope I will have the presence of mind to see it coming and cut bait early and not have to watch that sh*t.
