If that group can't get the job done I don't know what to say. I can't imagine a more influential committee to tackle this issue.
I love people who can laugh at themselves. It saves me the effort.

That's awesome to hear. I admittedly don't know as much about the history of BG hockey as most of you guys, but those are definitely some of the biggest names in BG hockey from over the years. If anybody can get the job done it's gotta be them.

True :smt023 . I didn't think of mentioning them. They definitely deserve credit too.

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

My one and only great success at prognostication was Scott Hamilton.

During my time at BG (1972-76) I had my mom up several times to watch hockey games. I always picked a time when I knew Scott would be performing between periods.

It was after one of those (particularly good) performances I turned to my mom and said: Remember his name, he's going to be representing the US in the Olympics some day.

Who would have known how little credit I was actually giving him. :-D

Any ideas who's going to be the first big donor?

I'm sure it will be a big, well known name....and I'm also guessing that all of the people who were named yesterday will be giving substantial donatiions of some type! I thank all of them, in advance!!!

I finally got off my can and signed up for Falcon Club yesterday while that news was coming out. I'd like to think I was the first official donor. As for the "big" part, I don't know if I can take credit there.

With that group... if we can't get it done, then it's not meant to be. Great news for the hockey program!
