Fuel to the fire

Post by Schadenfreude »

This question appeared in the Friday Sound Off column of the Mobile Register. Basically, people can call in and say anything they want:

Mascot on Bowling Green helmets-- What is on the side of Bowling Green's helmet? Editor's note: The outline of a Falcon, the team's mascot.

hopefully the writer's response when reading the answer was ... "Oh cool! What a sweet logo!" :D

They've got a column like that in Indy's paper. I always wondered what kind of life people had (or didn't have) that would cause them to have to vent to a voice mail box, just to see it in the paper. It's kind of amusing, though, when 3 or 4 days later, a thread's going about the same author that hates their boyfriend for sleeping with their best friend...

I had several locals and a couple Memphis folk ask me what was on my hat. A couple of them were still going "Huh?" and the others thought it was cool. I still think it needs the white back in the middle though!

Some people told me they thought it was an L & T. I have to admit the new logo that's been developed would look pretty cool on the helmets...sorry traditionalists.

has nothing to do with traditionalism, it has to do with not wanting Space Ghost on the helmet.. *laugh*

I think the white spot in the middle helped "bring it together" and make it look less "like an L and a T", but I don't mind it being white-free, either.
