Java. I think some of the programs I use for actual work jam up the resources needed for hockey talk.BGDrew wrote:Is it blocked or a Java issue?

Maybe if he stood on his skates, he could have stopped that goal he let in.BGDrew wrote:0-1 late in the 2nd. Hammond in goal for BG and is absolutely standing on his head.

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Re: Game Thread: Bowling Green vs. Minnesota State
Alot of people would look at tonights game and say goaltending was the problem. However, anyone who listened to the game or heard what was going on will understand different. First of all the Falcons could not get in a rhythm offensively and all that the announcers could keep saying was "A fantastic save from Hammond". For how the game went tonight we had very good goaltending and if our offense could put up some numbers there wouldnt be so much pressure on Hammy or Eno to stand on their head. We also have to tone it down on the penalties, by halfway through the second we had 7 penalties which is almost half of the game at that point. Alot of these penalties were lazy hooks or trips and we cant afford to take those. I know MSU didnt capitalize on all these but it still takes away from our offensive flow. Lets hope after next weekend we can get back in rhythm against the Under-18 team and get things turned around when Providence comes to town.
Re: Game Thread: Bowling Green vs. Minnesota State
Yep, Hammond played awesome. If I got $1 for every time Fitzy said "Fantastic Save by Hammond" I could retire. The kid played great. Lots of cheap penalties and very few even strength shots for us.
Re: Game Thread: Bowling Green vs. Minnesota State
Saw this assessment on the westerncollegehockeyblog:
Bowling Green's goaltending-The young Bowling Green team looked completely undermanned and overmatched this past weekend, but one positive sign for the program was the play of goalies Nick Eno and Andrew Hammond. Both goalies finished the weekend with a save percentage above .900. Previous starter Jimmy Spratt never finished a season with a save percentage above .900, which really hurt the program. If the Falcons can get solid goaltending that keeps their team in games while their young team finds itself, they could steal some points and avoid being a doormat this season.
Was anybody there in person? Is this accurate?

I love people who can laugh at themselves. It saves me the effort.
