The big play is killing us. Ohio and Kent scored 8 touchdowns of more than 25 yards the past two weeks. I hate to see what LeFevor and Central Michigan will do to us.
Giving up big plays is a self fulfilling prophecy. Every coach remaining on our schedule sees the tape and watches us get burnt by big plays...and they all gameplan to take shots down the field against us.

Cmon guys. It's not exactly rocket science to know that we don't play any defense at Bowling Green. We haven't for years.
Our offense has bailed out our defense quite regularly over the years.

If you want to look ahead, you'll see that Toledo has been living and dying, offensively, by the big play. That could make that game very painful this year.

Or it could be a career game for Freddy Barnes.1987alum wrote:If you want to look ahead, you'll see that Toledo has been living and dying, offensively, by the big play. That could make that game very painful this year.

Are you some kind of closet Rocket? You tend to give them waaaay more respect than they deserve on an anuual basis.....
Freddie might get 20 catches against that defense...Freddie Falcon that is. Freddie Barnes will probably get closer to 50.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Flip - I guess I keep flashing back to that game when Omar had us up by something like 200 points and we ended up losing.Flipper wrote:1987alum wrote:If you want to look ahead, you'll see that Toledo has been living and dying, offensively, by the big play. Yep...and the DC that oversaw that collapse is now their head coach...
