Thanks to the athletic department I'm considered a full-fledged press member for the hockey team. Now, I want to ask you all how do you want your hockey coverage? I like the presser's and the interviews (which the first one will be coming very soon) but what would you like on gamedays? For every home game (and some select away) I'll be at the games getting video of the pressers and writing down some ideas for the games. Now, that is where you come in: how do you want your hockey coverage during the games?
Do you like just using the chats? Would you be into a LiveBlog? Tweeting? My idea and goal of what I'm doing has been to bring all of you what you want. Close access to the team, direct contact with coaches etc. We have a lot of technology at our disposal now and I want to know how some of you out-of-towners would like to see this improve.
So, what would you like? This Friday is going to be a test run of sorts for whatever we decide.
*Note: a live, video feed of the game isn't going to happen. You're more than welcome to explore the PPV options available at BGSFalcons.com for that.

Line charts and end of period stats. Penalty summary, shots on goal, etc. Posting them in a thread would work best for me. Especially during home games. Being able to check the forum on my phone between periods would be awesome.

Re: How Do You Want Your Hockey?
A liveblog would be great. More timely updates than what we get with gametracker/sidearm with a little commentary on what's going on, especially things that don't show up in the gametracker: great hits, great saves, was a penalty a good/necessary one or a stupid trip in behind the other team's net, etc....
I don't generally listen to the radio broadcast so getting that sort of thing online would be nice.

I love people who can laugh at themselves. It saves me the effort.

Re: How Do You Want Your Hockey?
I just set up an account. LOVED IT. I think it's exactly what people will want. I will still post lines and any important pre-game notes onto the thread but the LiveBlog is going to be great, IMO.
Tony: I'll send both you and Grant the code block. Might as well put it everywhere possible.

Cool.
I've used CIL for several events at work and it just keeps getting better. Let me know if you have any questions about how stuff works.
