OK, first off, I need to thank BGSU Falconz for finally getting me to register on this site.
I have been an avid reader of the site for three years, but never registered. However, his post the other day about his girlfriend being a Falcons jinx finally caused me to make my first post. I wrote a nice colorful response offering suggestions to avoid the jinx (something along the lines of locking himself in the basement and after the game getting trapped under heavy machinery) only to have that post fire walled by work (I work in a school, so a lot of things get blocked).
Anyways, thank you BGSU Falconz for getting my lazy butt in gear and thank you Mother Nature for preventing his girlfriend from coming over to watch the GMAC Bowl.
Now to the subject at hand, I saw a piece in this week's Sports Illustrated about Bowl Game Goody Bags. The bowls can give away up to $350 worth of goodies to the participants. I see that some give away iPod's, MP3 players, DVD players or watches. And then there is the Sun Bowl that has a hair dryer in it's goody bag!
So I was wondering if anyone knows what type of goody bag our guys received?
Also, while I'm here, I want to thank everyone who has made this site so great and thank you to all of you who provide me and others with the best information on the Falcons!

Haven't found the GMAC gift package yet. Here's two other games gift packages though in the meantime.
Players from Cincinnati and Marshall, who played in the Fort Worth Bowl, received a portable DVD player, a watch, a collectible football, a mini-helmet, a golf shirt and a T-shirt with the bowl's logo on it.
This year, players from Ohio State and Oklahoma State will get a coat with the school and bowl logos on the front, a watch, a fleece pullover, a souvenir mini-helmet, two video games and a sling bag, which Hill describes as a "hipper form of a backpack."

And that's ON TOP of the small unmarked envelopes from boosters? SI had a listing of a number of bowl games and what their "goody bags" contained. The GMAC bowl was not among the list, but I was astounded by the stuff they get. The bowl games are allowed to give out up to $350 worth in merchandise. I just wanna know where these bowl games are shopping! I mean these kids are getting an iPod, fancy watch, embroidered bag, and some clothes. Where are they getting all that for under $350!?falconman wrote:Just wondering if you got any information Warthog? I saw where a lot of the bowl teams recieved MP3 players, and those things arent cheap.
From Tues Dec 21 Sentinel Tribune: "BG players and some members of the traveling party were presented with a bag full of swag from the bowl committee. Included in the bad were a commemorative watch, football and a crystal square from the bowl; a wind suit; two sweatshirts, one hooded and one crew-style; a hat; two T-shirts; and a travel bag."
