I know many of you aren't interested in the power rankings, but even so, figured I'd update the board on how we stand. BG ranks 78th this week, which puts us 6th among MAC teams.
Even if the conference title is realistically out of reach for us, winning and getting to a bowl game is certainly realistic. WMU, NIU, and Toledo (maybe Temple as well) are the teams we're going to have to get in front of by year's end.
MAC Teams rankings:
35.Central Michigan (6-1)
63.Ohio (5-2)
66.Western Michigan (3-4)
68.Northern Illinois (3-3)
74.Toledo (4-3)
78.Bowling Green (3-4)
81.Temple (4-2)
92.Buffalo (3-4)
106.Kent State (3-4)
113.Akron (1-5)
117.Ball State (0-7)
118.Miami (0-7)
119.Eastern Michigan (0-6)

Its makes me sad that 3 of the bottom 5 are teams from the MAC.
Also, on rivals.com, every college team has a webpage that keeps track of recruiting, commits, news, etc.--except most of the MAC teams. Central, Western, and Ballstate I think are the only 3 who have them, but don't quote me on that.

6500 miles couldn't stop me from cheering on my Falcons!

Yeah, its a shame. I don't know what's happened at Miami, that once proud program has fallen on extraordinarily hard times. Hopefully their new coach will find a way to turn it around. Ball State is just absurd, this is a team that had an undefeated regular season a year ago, and now they are winless. Something must have happened prior to that fateful night in Detroit last December, because the football gods have hated BSU from that game forward. And Eastern Michigan, well, they're EMU. They're in the bottom 5 practically every year. I don't see why that would change now.Chimie wrote:Its makes me sad that 3 of the bottom 5 are teams from the MAC..
