CBSSports.com has their mid-season All-American Team posted. Freddie Barnes is on the team at WR. They only have a first-team and Freddie is one of two wide receivers. Golden Tate from Notre Shame is the other.

There was also a mention of the BG-CMU game in the USA Today this morning that mentioned Freddie's ranking as the leading receiver in the nation.

Now the team needs to knock of CMU, win the rest of their games, win a MAC title and a bowl game.

I agree, this game against CMU can be won by the falcons if your offense makes big plays and our defense comes up big. We have the talent to win out but we need to play mistake free football the next 5 games.

Ya, i know we can win this game. Central Michigan fans are quite sure their gonna kill us but we have one of the best offenses in the nation, were playing at the doyt and were the falcons. What more can you ask for Go falcons, beat the chimps

No argument from me! Barnes is the real deal. I wouldn't mind seeing the Lions sign him next season (in the later rounds, after addressing both lines and CB ). A quality and consistent possession receiver is something they've lacked for awhile.
