I'm guessing what you described as a drill rig, is really a pile driver used to set upright steel beams etc. in place...at least that's what we thought when we drove by yesterday after the game.

Went by before the game and am positive it is a drill rig plus there were auger bits staged nearby. I have labored on a pile driving crew before and it is different equipment than the truck I observed onsite, although it will all work towards a foundation.

I know nothing about the construction of the Stroh Center, but the drill rigs could be for drilling geothermal heating wells. But, like I said, I know nothing specific.

Two questions:

1. Where do I submit my resume?

2. Can I crash in your meth lab after work?

Has there been any start of construction on the Wolfe Center yet? I thought it was mentioned for cost purposes they were playing on doing both it and the Stroh Center projects simultaneously.

The construction area has been fenced off and there's some earth being moved. The construction area stretches from the west of Kreischer, to the east of the AA lot, to the north of the Arts building.

Had a brief conversation with Greg Christopher last night at the coaches show. He said they are finding interesting things as they dig up the parking lot.

I don't think they've found Jimmy Hoffa buried in Lot 6, but if you remember when we were doing the BGNet infrastructure project or widening of Wooster St. and they found that the electric lines and sewer lines were not where they thought they were. Evidently not many people know what all was under the asphalt of Lot 6, and the gravel in Lot 6 overflow and Lot 20 either.
