Re: Week 9 MAC Picks (with updated standings)
Ohio at Ball State: Snobkitties rebound after a crushing loss to Kent.
Akron at Northern Illinois: J.D.'s unannounced farewell tour continues with a beatdown in DeKalb. Huskies will roll.
Western Michigan at Kent State: This has the makings of a very, very good game. Kent surprised me with their performance against Ohio and Western has already stumbled once. This is a chance for Kent to show that they are for real; meanwhile, the Broncos really, really need this win, too. I think the Broncos will prevail, but it should be a battle.
Central Michigan at Boston College: This is why I dont' gamble. I'm calling for the upset because I really want the Chips to break into the top 25.
Toledo at Miami: Rockets will bounce back after that physical loss to Temple.
Temple at Navy: I see that Navy's QB will likely miss the game, but I think the Owls are due for a letdown. This will be a tight game, but I think the Middies pull it out.
Eastern Michigan at Arkansas: This one could get real ugly.

Re: Week 9 MAC Picks (with updated standings)
Ok I believe my record will be bad this week as there are so many games that could go either way this week.
Ohio @ Ball State- Ball State won last week in the battle of the losers but ohio is also struggling. The bobcats should win this game if they stay focused.
Akron @ Northern Illinois- The Huskies should have no problem this week against the zips.
Central Michigan @ Boston College- I as well am going to call for the upset this week. Boston College is a good solid team this year and its gonna take a lot better performance than they had last week against us to beat the Eagles.
Toledo @ Miami(OH)- I believe anyone can beat the redhawks this season.
Temple @ Navy- Although Navy has shown some promise this year I dont think they will win. This will be a very close game but since Ricky Dobb's wont be playing this game I think that gives temple the advantage in this one. This game could go either way but at the end i think Temple will take the W.
Eastern Michigan @Arkansas- All I can say is Ouch. My thoughts and prayers go out to the eagles.

12:00 PM ET Ohio at Ball State Ohio should win easily, but will win a close game.
12:00 PM ET Akron at Northern Illinois NIU in spite of some let downs this season is still a solid team. They'll win by around 10
2:00 PM ET Western Michigan at Kent State I think Kent will win a very tight game. This Kent squad looks much better than I thought they would!
3:30 PM ET Central Michigan at Boston College Central is good, but I really can't see them beating BC. It should be very close, but my gut tells me to pick BC! Beware the spirit of Doug Flutie!
3:30 PM ET Toledo at Miami (OH) Toledo will win here.
3:30 PM ET Temple at Navy - Temple will win a tight contest.
7:00 PM ET Eastern Michigan at Arkansas- Arkansas will score 40 by the half on the way to dressing it's managers in the 2nd half..... EMU has no luck and really isn't a good football team this season. They should schedule more big payout games since no one will pay to watch them at home!

Re: Week 9 MAC Picks (with updated standings)
Ohio at Ball State
Ohio - Better team this year than Ball State. That being said ... it wouldn't surprise me if Ball State wins. Ohio seems to have been exposed as a weaker team than their record shows last week by Kent and Ball State could possibly capitalize. Don't count the Cardinals out.
Akron at Northern Illinois
NIU - Akron played a good game vs the Orange and NIU lost strangely to UT last week. NIU wins but its ugly.
Western Michigan at Kent State
WMU - both are right at the top of their divisions, but the West is the better division and WMU's offense is just too good right now.
Central Michigan at Boston College
BC - I really want CMU to win and I really think they can, but I don't think it is likely it will actually happen. CMU was lucky to play MSU before the Spartans got it figured out - no way they pull that upset if it were played now. BC's run game is going to wear out the Chips. I wouldn't be stunned if it goes down like us at Mizzou.
Toledo at Miami (OH)
Toledo - Miami shows signs of life once in a while and now would be a good game to wake up and win, but I don't think so. Toledo is likely to roll all over the Redhawks.
Temple at Navy
Navy - Both teams are currently riding five game win streaks. Difference is, Temple's streak is beating Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Ball State, Army, and Toledo. Navy's streak is over Western Kentucky, Air Force, Rice, Southern Methodist, and Wake Forest. Navy's offense is too much to stop.
Eastern Michigan at Arkansas
Arkansas - Arkansas gets a nice day to pad their stats and make highlight films. I heard something interesting ... EMU leads the nation in pass defense. They also are at the bottom of the nation in run defense. Anyone want to guess which is the cause and which is the effect?

Re: Week 9 MAC Picks (with updated standings)
Friday...time for picks!
Ohio @ Ball State - There is no reason that Ohio should lose this game. But, it is the MAC so I am, for some unknown reason, picking Ball State in this game. Ohio needs another let down game.
Akron @ NIU - The Huskies will win this one. Akron is playing bad and I don't see things getting turned around anytime soon. Not this season anyways.
WMU @ Kent State - Another battle of mediocrity. I think the Broncos bring a little more to the table and win this game on the road.
CMU @ Boston College - Boston College > Michigan State. No way the Eagles lose at home this late in the season. Ok, maybe they do but I'm still picking BC.
Toledo @ Miami - This is one of those games where I hope for the apocolypse, but only on the stadium they are playing in. That being said, Toledo wins.
Temple @ Navy - This is a tough pick. Navy probably won't attempt a pass for the 2nd week in a row and could wear down Temple's D because of this. I'm going to go with the Midshipmen.
EMU @ Arkansas - Ugly, ugly loss coming for the Eagles. Razorbacks win in a BIG rout.
Ohio @ Ball State - There is no reason that Ohio should lose this game. But, it is the MAC so I am, for some unknown reason, picking Ball State in this game. Ohio needs another let down game.

Re: Week 9 MAC Picks (with updated standings)
45-16 huh? That's almost 75%. Not too bad.
12:00 PM ET Ohio at Ball State - Ohio - The Bobcats bounce back after a letdown against Kent State last week and beat up on the Cardinals.
12:00 PM ET Akron at Northern Illinois - Northern Illinois - The Huskies will crush the hapless Zips at home. Akron's almost as bad as BSU and Miami.
2:00 PM ET Western Michigan at Kent State - Western Michigan - This is a TOUGH game to call. The Golden Flashes have a history of failing once they're near the lead, so I'll go with WMU.
3:30 PM ET Central Michigan at Boston College - Central Michigan - Fire Up Chips! CMU is for real, and they'll pick off their 2nd BCS opponent of the season Saturday in Chestnut Hill.
3:30 PM ET Toledo at Miami (OH) - Toledo - I have a strange feeling that the Redhawks could surprise the Rockets because of the latter's horrific defense, but it's not strong enough for me to go for the upset.
3:30 PM ET Temple at Navy - Navy - Temple's had a great run up to this point, but the midshipmen are a tough bunch. I like Navy to pound the Owls into submission on the ground.
7:00 PM ET Eastern Michigan at Arkansas - Arkansas - You can pretty much book EMU for a winless season. They're the biggest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.
12:00 PM ET Ohio at Ball State - Ohio - The Bobcats bounce back after a letdown against Kent State last week and beat up on the Cardinals.

On AdamWins.com, he is saying that Toledo covering against Miami is a lock...thought that was interesting, being the MAC and a road game.
